We are a family sized and owned winery in Etyek, wine region close to Budapest.Units of the estate: winery with traditional cellar, distillery, restaurant. We are open all over the year, however only on upfront reservation via e-mail. What we offer: wine tasting presentations with cellar tour; tasting of the spirits with visit to the distillery; lunch or dinner at small 3 table restaurant.Guests are awaited by the member of the family.
Very homely, relaxing experience with truly down to earth owners, who were more than willing to share their wine making passion with us.
We tried a variety of white wines, but our favourite by far was the Pinot Gris.
A visit to the cellar was also interesting...everyone should have one in their back garden!

One of the smallest family winery in Etyek with historical building and cellar which is part of the local heritage. Native Hungarian and international varieties, prize winning wines.
Nadas Bormuhely A great winemaker outside Budapest in the Etyek - Buda wine region. We tried four wines and he had vinegars and spirits too. Innovative and exciting. Well worth a visit. We went with City and Wine Ltd.

Dear Friends, I first started to deal with wine in 1999, after falling in love with the atmosphere of Budapest's vineyards and the romanticism of Etyek. What began as a hobby, with an initial production of just four barrels a year, evolved after a few years into a way of life-into a vineyard that has expanded to many hectares, producing 22,000 bottles of wine each year. The one-man entreprise has become a family estate: my wife, my brother, and my son are my partners, always with me in my passion. However, we are concerned not only with the fate of our estate, but also of Etyek, the Budapest wine region, and Hungarian wine more generally. I am very grateful for this lifelong pursuit, a labor of love that I hope to pass on to future generations. We are blessed with a wonderful team who are devoted to creating a memorable experience for visitors to our estate. They will guide you through the flavors of Etyek, introduce you to the terroir of our vineyards, and help you feel the magic and romance of the countryside. We would be honored to welcome you at Rókusfalvy Birtok! Rókusfalvy Pál
What a surprise! We had lunch at the Rokusfalvy Fogado restaurant which is owned and operated by the wine making family ( see separate review). After a 10 minute walk up the hill you turn right (second right you come to opposite the white crucifix) into a roughly constructed road thinking you must have taken the wrong turn.
However, I urge you to persevere, since near the end of this road, on the left hand side you find the Rokusfalvy Estate cellar. A selection of Estate wines in a unique setting with personal guidance from the owners son and his colleague.
Also along this road are artisan cheese, ham and other food producers. Off the beaten track being a 30 minute Taxi or Uber out of Budapest, this is defiantly with a visit.
Places like this are a rare find and to be treasured!

The "Etyeki Kúria" was established in 1996 with a grape growing area of 2 hectares. Soon it became the leading winery of its wine region. Right outside of Budapest come for an afternoon of wine tasting.
This is an incredibly modern facility, with excellent wines and lovely staff. It is recommended that you email prior to visiting as I believe it can get very busy. We were lucky as on the day we visited, we were the only ones there at the time. Excellent pinot noir and a few white varieties which match any good Australian or NZ wine, and are extremely affordable.
Be aware that if you are 'tasting', you will pay approx 500 HUF for every wine you taste, a system which we were not familiar with. Nonetheless, the tasting sizings are incredibly generous for what you pay for.

COming from the Netherlands we expect a lot from chocolate (being close to belgium). However, our expectations were met easily by the sheir quality of the chocolate Gingallo produces. My personal top 3 for chocolate has certainly been rearranged with tasting the rosemary and elderflower...MoreThank you for your kind feedback! It was a pleasure for me to host such friendly and interested people, like you. I hope you spent a great time in Hungary!

We are a family Winery. Our newly opened Boutique Winery is located in a beautiful ambient in Oreghegy (old hill). We are proud to grow vines in the historic hills of Etyek with using of barrel aging and the newest stainless steel technic. Our new Winery is located in the middle of our newly planted pinot noir vineyards.
We combined this wine tasting outing with a visit to the local chocolatier. Anonym winery is a boutique vineyard owned and run by a young family of winemakers. Like many of the wineries in the region they are both traditional and experimental and the results are wonderful. Tasting their wines and blends makes for a pleasant morning enjoyed in very attractive surroundings. The stories around their logo and labels are great too. Take some time to venture out and see the area of Etyeki.

Winery, wineyard, home restaurant at Etyek, wonderful wine hill with cosy atmosphere, home-dining experience.
Stopped over to taste wines and eat and it turned out that evening was a scheduled Spanish/Hungarian folk performance featuring Evelin! We were left speechless by the beauty of her music, and the delicious wine and home cooking made it a special evening.
We insisted on buying a young wine that hadn't been labeled yet, and they even sealed it for us on the spot. Can't recommend it enough - get out to Etyek and enjoy the wines and wonderful people.

Haraszthy Vineyards was established in 1998, with the idea of producing exquisite wines, based on the grape varieties that are available in Etyek Buda Region. This winery was not only created to produce wines, it was created for hosting tourism as well. One of the best places for wine and food lovers and also for those who simply want to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
There is nothing to not like about this place.
The pool and views are stunning. The wine is fabulous. The food delicious. And the service and attention to detail is beautifully done.
Come early to secure a sun bed by the pool, lie back and relax and enjoy.

Offering a new experience for film lovers, the Korda Filmpark is the first movie-themed visitors center in Central-Eastern Europe, located 30 kilometers from Budapest, in Etyek
The studo has great scenes and sets. Could offer a lot of exciting stories to tell. But not. Too long time spent at exibition room with a guide girl. She actually acted as a school teacher. Yay. Then a walk around the sets. Interesring to see, boring again to hear.
It seems no one even bothers to make it fun.
