Do yourself a favour and visit Das Voglhouse when in Konstanz. All Cafes should operate like this. Friendly staff, efficient service and above all a very warm and hospitable place.
It has a very intere3sting Seating arrangement with even some spots where you can lie flat on your back while enjoying your coffee! Truly. This is one of the finest examples of Café I have seen anywhere in the world. It is unique and great experience.

Great place! 4--5 different soups (both vegetarian and with meat, 3 serving sizes) and salad bar (paid by the weight). Good ambience, friendly staff, self service. Located in pedestrian street, tables outside and indoors. Payment by cash only. Recommended!

With no reservation we had been lucky to get a table for two, welcome service was nice and very professional friendly! The menu Rose house wine paired with Caprese, Antipasti, Tagiatelle Bolognese and Spagetti Alolio was good, not extraordinary but really tasty and nice. The service did had some hick-ups in timing and completeness but in general it was good for an Italian dinner.

Located on the main cobblestone pedestrian zone. There is Seating inside, but on sunny days and you may have to wait for a seat If you wish to sit outside. Most customers opt for outside Seating in the main square to enjoy the weather and people watch. The Eis is okay, but the waiter was very friendly toward us.

Overall a great place. Japanese cuisine, by a true Japanese chef trained in the original Japanese sushi school. Can´t be defined ¨cheap¨, but the prices are more than acceptable for this kind of food. Very diverse menu, including matcha tea among the drinks!
Disadvantages: its located a bit out of the city centre, and the place is quite small, tends to get very crowded, so I recommend reserving a table.

Popped into this small weinstube just after opening time expecting to find it quiet with no atmosphere. We couldn't have been more wrong. There were already several tables buzzing with people, and mostly locals judging from the dialogue passing between service staff and guests. We had a snack as we were going for dinner later and a couple of glasses of wine. Tasty food and great service. The place just got busier and busier (well it was Friday!) with some people being turned away. It has a beautifully designed interior pairing old details with modern finishes making it very enjoyable just to sit and look around. The hostess Tamara came into the stube around 6:30pm and knew many of the guests there. Definitely a must if you passing through Konstanz whether for a drink with a snack or a meal. Great value for money and a delight for the eyes.

Priced at € 14,- it is was very reasonable. The service was very good and the food was well presented. We will be definitely return when we return to Konstanz.

Went here with friends for a celebration meal and it was absolutely amazing.....every dish we had was delicious (loved the prawns in garlic and the tiny caramelized goats cheese and apple yum)
The staff were really friendly and helpful and the atmopshere was great, we felt like we were in Spain :)
For three of us we paid just over 100 euros for a bottle of wine, a few bottles of water and so many tapas we were stuffed when we left :)
Loved it, can't wait to go back
