Excellent guided tour, well worth the trip and very good value. I'd recommend a visit. Lots of very good information on sherry and it's production.

Same price as the bus back to Cadiz. around half an hour up top on the cat. Unfortunately I chose a seat that was broken. No real hardship. Good view of the bridge when you enter Cadiz waters.

Iglesia Mayor Prioral

I liked it even better than the somehow false Cathedral og Cadiz for which they charged 5 euro! This church is authentic and has an interesting portal. Unfortunately it was already dark and I couldn't make puctures of the interior.
If you know about architecture then don't miss it .

This huge beach is very clean and well cared for. You have views across to Cadiz and an abundance of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. The beach is so wide and long it never felt crowded. Locals bring their own chairs and sun umbrellas but there are loungers that can be hired for the whole day. I was impressed to see there's good access and facilities available for wheelchair users.

This is easy to find in El Puerto de Santa Maria. Located in central square near tourist office. Only guided tours. Very good english speaking guide. Interesting moorish history and carefully renovated castle. Its owner is Lustau winery. It was a surprise that after the guided tour, wine tasting of excellent sherry wines of Lustau was included.

We took a guided tour in this bodega and learned a lot about how typical sherry wines are made. It was overall very interesting and the tasting at the end would satisfy wine lovers. They make you try 6 different varieties and you can really feel the difference between tastes.

A splendidly renovated bullring full of history and memories. If you get the chance to see a bullfight, even for only a few minutes to appreciate the art, here is the place to do it. Now with the outside cleaned up and bars and restaurants on the perimeter, if you just want a quiet drink or a meal, this is the place to do it.I will return in the summer.

Parque Natural Bahia de Cadiz

Reviewed By AlxCdog - Norfolk, Virginia

The Bahia de Cadiz Nature Park centers on a large area of wetland in the central part of the province's Atlantic coast which includes El Puerto de Santa Maria, San Fernando, and Cadiz. Phoenician and Roman remains have been found around these areas, such as the Temple of Hercules on Sancti Petri Island and the old port at Cano del Trocadero, a vestige of trade with the Indies. The strategic and defensive importance of this area had much to do with the appearance, some 3,000 years ago, of human settlements in the bay, leaving behind exceptional heritage with old fortifications.
The scenery is beautiful and the walk is long depending on your choice of length of walking. We did over 5 miles in just under 1.5 hours walking at a brisk pace and we did a few mini stops along the way. Overall the trail is very easy and for the most part flat surfaces but it is not paved. There is a bridge you can cross on the trail or go towards a beach. It was and awesome day and we had a great time. Highly recommend if you want to get some exercise or want to see nature, and just getting out. Note: The visit could take longer than 2 hours easily if you are willing to go the distance or be as short as 30 minutes your choice. Also, there are little venta's along the way to grab water, coffee, and food.
