We offer landing trips which give 2 to 3 hours ashore or alternately shorter 2 hour trips which gives plenty of time to view the world renown wildlife around the island from the boat. Osprey is a big 10mtr Rib which has bench seats, comfortable and safe, fully licensed by the MCA and SNH. We operate the boats from the ticket office at the following address. The Middle Pier Shore Street Anstruther KY10 3AB
Went on this trip a few weeks ago, I was a bit worried about the boat - the sea was a little choppy on the day we went, but the boat was actually really good fun in the end. We did get wet, but it...MoreWe try very hard to make it as relaxed as possible especially for people who are a little bit nervous. As you have seen she is a great sea boat and gives you confidence. Thank you very much for your kind words.

After a lunch at The Haven across the road we had a walk round the harbour . Quite an old historical harbour as it turns out first built in 1452 and added to since, I found it quite fascinating that Dutch Dyke builders built it without mortar as a dry set blockwork with timber wedges on the south sea wall . This method is still visible in the wall today. The scenery is great looking across to the May Island ,Berwick Law and the Bass rock . You can watch local fisherman laying their lobster and crab reels

Kingsbarns Distillery and Visitor Centre in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife opened its doors in December 2014. The whisky distillery is situated between St. Andrews and Crail, close to the world famous Kingsbarns championship golf course. The historic and charming East Newhall Farm steadings were carefully restored and converted into a small distillery with exhibition, tasting rooms, shop and cafe. Tours run daily, providing an insight into the history of whisky at Kingsbarns Distillery, whisky production and an opportunity to taste. In addition to regular daily distillery tours, further whisky tasting options are available in the cafe, shop or in a private room; with exclusive evening drinks receptions and dinner options available. The cafe has a selection of locally sourced soups, scones, cakes, traybakes, sandwiches and toasties with a full range of coffees and loose leaf teas also available. We are open all year.
This was a Christmas gift which provided us with an interesting gin experience and a tasty Sandwich lunch. The distillery is a few miles south of Kingsbarns, set in old farm buildings that are beautifully restored. The gin tour lasts just over an hour and...MoreHi Bfmcm, Thank you for taking the time to review us, we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the distillery and your lunch also. This is a lovely little village to walk the main street. The beach is nice sand and you can walk a long way from the town out to the small harbor. Just a great place to relax on the beach. The views are beautiful. If you are travelling through you must spend at leas an hour or two. Wonderful.

A nice walk on the costal route, interesting site witch explain how the old salta industry use to works. During the wall you can see also the old pools filled with the sea water by the tide. Very lovely panoramas!

My wife and I decided to go on an intrepid voyage to the Isle of May after bottling it for about fifteen years. After our initial trip got cancelled due to a "northern swell", we finally stepped aboard ! We had the time of our lives and both absolutely loved it. The hour long trip to the island is quite choppy but nothing too bad on what is a very comfortable little boat with a highly professional, friendly and knowledgable crew. As a bird lover, I was in awe as gannets flew overhead, razorbills dived for fish and amusing cormorants and shags nonchalantly sunbathed on the rocks. We also saw lots of gorgeous seals though sadly the legions of acclaimed puffins had already flown off for the season - but we'll be back to see them next summer ! That probably saved us from getting deafened and dive-bombed mind you ! The island itself is of outstanding natural beauty and is lovely to explore - there are nice paths, amazing views and a fascinating lighthouse that you can climb right to the top of (careful on the spiral staircase, folks !). You have to be a bit sensible and careful on your visit so it's advisable to wear good shoes as well as warm, waterproof clothing and watch your footing both on the boat and on the island (as you don't want to twist your ankle down a puffin hole or a rabbit hole !). Overall, this is an absolutely fantastic experience that my wife and I would do again in a heartbeat - Scotland at its finest ! The crew work amazingly hard and, in my opinion, are well worth a tip at the end of the journey for making it all run so smoothly.

I had my traditional walk down to the harbour after 9.00 hoping to catch the rising sun on the harbour walls but it was overcast . 2 hours later the clouds disappeared and the sun was out but it was to late we were on our way home . There was not a soul down at the harbour and I had it all to myself. Everything very tidy and ready for the next day took a few photos and walked back up into town . It is always a special feeling in this pretty harbour scene

Stopped off here on a journey down to the East Neuk today in the hope of finding a late morning snack - and I was in luck!
As well as being a small traditional village grocers and newsagents they sell things like cards and I noticed they had a small selection of kids toys too, but more importantly as far as I was concerned I spotted a small selection of filled rolls!
I opted for a ham and mustard filled roll. The roll had a decent amount of ham on it too, not like some places that put on a wafer thin slice of ham that you can see through! Now for £1.35 I thought this was tremendous value for money in this day and age.
The staff member that served me was pleasant and friendly.
This appears to be a busy little shop with the locals.
Would recommend a visit if you are in the area, and definitely for their filled rolls!

An award winning farm shop looking to provide you with everything you need for a fantastic local meal. From home grown 21 day matured grass fed beef and lamb, freshly picked vegetables, warm locally baked bread, farmhouse cheese and ice cream, traditionally reared local meats to a selection of fine wines...For food lovers!
Dropped in on the way back to Edinburgh from St Andrews as I’d seen that it had recently won an award at the Scottish food & drink awards. What a great place. Beautiful produce, lovely staff & a fab location. Prices are on the high side but it’s worth every penny. We tried the Findlaters chicken late & bought 3 to take home, to die for! Picked up lots of different things for Xmas & were just sorry that we were a day early & missed the Xmas event. Would benefit from having a coffee shop onsite but you could buy a coffee to takeaway.
