Calafell blends the richness of its heritage with the attractiveness of five kilometres of golden sand beaches, unique in the Costa Dorada. The Iberian Citadel, Casa Barral, Bot Salvavides (Lifeboat), the Sant Miquel Church or the Santa Creu Castle are landmarks of the area's history and serve as a guide from the Old World to the new, where music, sport, sea and gastronomy coexist.

The Iberian Citadel of Calafell is one of the most remarkable archaeological sites of the Iberian times (6th to 2nd centuries BC) in our country due to its singularity. Its experimental reconstruction "in situ" makes the Citadel an appropriate place for all range of public in order to know how the Cossetan Iberians lived more than 2000 years ago.
Very helpful staff. Explained in English and gave us their guidebook to take around the site with us!

See you soon!
Three of us went on - ages 52, 15 and 12- and it was great fun. Highly recommend. It was a 25 minute walk into the countryside on outskirts of Calafell. We headed in the direction of the castle but ended up having to cross a busy fast road..On the way back we found a tunnel that goes under the road ( much safer).

The Castle of the Holy Cross of Calafell is a fortified place of the Middle Ages, first documented in 1037 and it is located in the old town of Calafell, also of medieval origins. The Castle and its surroundings form an Open Air Archaeological Park which explains through a renewed museography some episodes in the history of the municipality.
Interesting and very well documented, kids enjoyed climbing around the old structures and finding ancient graffiti for a while, then they lost interest.
Good if you're interested in ancient architecture and want some time away from the beach, only took about 15 -20 mins to walk from the centre of Calafell with kids.
Lovely bar selling patatas bravas on the way back...

Best polynesian bar I ever been to: lovely authentic design, good music and friendly atmosphere. Bora bora offers huge choice of amazing cocktails served in supercool tiki mugs, separate menu of Gin Tonics. Average cost of cocktail is 10-12 eu but it will be around 0.5lt with as much liquor as you want in it! Surely they will also treat you with snacks and compliments! You'll never leave disappointed! Highly recommended!

We are Playa Aqua Park a company which is offering floating water parks on the ocean. We are operating through all of Spain. Our goal is to guarantee our customers the hightest amount of safety. Furthermore we have a Mission to bring more physical activity on the beach. We say: Vamos a la playa!
This is a group of inflatables in the middle of the sea ( It's a Knockout / Total Wipeout). We thought this was great fun but requires a lot of upper body strength and energy. My 12 year old struggled the first time but persuaded her dad to go with her the second time to help lift her out of the water.
Don't know if this happens often but watch out for the jellyfish ! Only negatives 1. My other daughter was badly cut by the Velcro attachments 2. Only one young 'minder/supervisor' on the inflatable did not seem enough as there are two sides to it and about 20 people ( too many).
