The restaurant is appropriately called “Centre Ville” as it is right in the centre of the historic town.
Opposite the restaurant is the statue of the Brothers de Witt, famous in their time the 17th century, and born in Dordrecht.
The interior probably dates back many years, look for the old phone boot upstairs. The Terrace in front is pleasant, especially with an afternoon sun. There are overhead heaters for when it gets cold.
The food was basic but very tasty and with large portions. The waitress even warned for the large portions, sweet. The whole atmosphere was easy going. The prices are decent.
Beware that the restaurant normally closes at 7:00PM and only one evening, with extended shopping times, at 8:00PM
Note: the main picture on Tripadvisor is not the restaurant but a shop with the same name (March 2014)

We were a little bit too early, coming from the beautiful Dordrechts Musem that closed at 17.00 h. De Stroper kitchen opened only at 18.00 h. But no problem, we were invited to sit down at our choice and to have a aperitive, As we are not accustomed to eat complete menues, we only took a very tasty Seabass, served with delicous vegetables and sauces. Just a good coffee to end, and that was it. Friendy service personel. The restaurant is situated on a very fine old Dutch water. Close to a parking on walking distance, we went home with good feelings about our choice and recommended by a lady of the Museum shop..

Pim's pannenkoekenhuis is a must if you visit Dordrecht with children. Already excisting as long as i can remember, and for a reason. They have a very big selectief of pancakes and poffertjes. The food is very tasty and everything is fresh.
The portions are large, even for a big eater like me.
Nice place, and in back they also have a Terrace.

Fantastic vegetarian restaurant outside Dordrecht. You have a choice of 4 to 7 courses. They will be determined by chief according to what is in his garden. Beautiful presentation. Very original combinations of flavors. Portions are just the right size so you never feel too full. An attentive, knowledgable waitress described each course naming all the ingredients. Wine pairings complemented the food perfectly. They will serve half glasses with the meal if you are worried about driving. It is small so book ahead. They also have 3 rooms and a small apartment. You won't be disappointed.

Informal business diner for 7. Good food. Beetroot soup highly recommended, mains good for their price. Service poor though. No spoon with the soup. Toilet towels finished, was reported to staff but were not replenished. We ordered wine which they wantend to poor without having us try it first. Waitresses could not tell us anything about the food or drinks.
If you can live with poor service do go because the food is really good!

This is a new restaurant in Zwijndrecht and they are located in a new building at the river. The atmosphere is modern and looks very nice. We liked the high bar-style tables (optional) and the waitress was excellent. We ate seafood which was fresh and the flavor was okay.

Visited this lovely hotel for the second time for the start of our holiday. I just love it here. They have got everything just perfect. The rooms, the Gardens, the food are all exceptional. The breakfast is very fresh, the bread homemade, the fruit homegrown and plenty of choice. Good coffee, nice friendly staff and all in all a very relaxing 3 days stay.

Flying in from South of France for a business meeting at a close by office a group of 6 of us arrived at lunch time unexpected.... With a near to bursting resturant we were given a great table.
Excellent Staff who were very attentive provided us with a superb selection of foods from the menu, great service, great food, a pleasure to have been taken to this resturant.
The best view from the resturant over an ever changing canal picture.
If your in the area do give it a go

The restaurant of Van der Valk Dordrecht is spacious and nicely decorated. Even when its almost full populated the service is fast and correct. The menu offers a wide range, quality is far above average against reasonable prices. Staff is professional and friendly.

The dishes are a mix of fine ingredients, new techniques, but also respect for the classic cuisine with Mediterranean influences especially from Spain and Italy. DeliCees restaurant uses fresh seasonal products. inspired We are constantly looking for new ingredients, techniques and inspiration. This leads to many visits to suppliers and producers in the region, but perhaps even more fun; many trips to Spain, Italy and sometimes France or London. We eat out as much as possible and let ourselves be inspired by the best chefs but also the culture there. O and check our huge cookbook collection in our library. Relax Our building is stately (and with the property we are very happy), but we are not stately! We find it important that our guests feel at ease. In our restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and with our personal attention, we hope to provide you a relaxing and enjoyable evening.
we were berthed in the Marina only 250m from this delightful restaurant and turned up without a booking which was pretty risky. Having knocked on the door of what looked like a private house we were admitted as they were not fully booked. The service was exemplary and the food sublime. Smoked Eel, Red Snapper, fabulous Lamb and a Rhubarb desert that Mrs T will definitely be hoping is on the menu when we return in a couple of months made it all a meal to remember.
