Sussex (/ˈsʌsɪks/), from the Old English Sūþsēaxe (South Saxons), is a historic county in South East England corresponding roughly in area to the ancient Kingdom of Sussex. It is bounded to the west by Hampshire, north by Surrey, northeast by Kent, south by the English Channel, and divided for many purposes into the ceremonial counties of West Sussex and East Sussex. Brighton and Hove, though part of East Sussex, was made a unitary authority in 1997, and as such, is administered independently of the rest of East Sussex. Brighton and Hove was granted City status in 2000. Until then, Chichester was Sussex's only city.

We loved the log cabin interior of this bright and cozy restaurant. The tableside fireplaces at each booth added an extra touch of romance. We kind of wished it had've been snowing outside to appreciate the fire even more. The service was excellent; they had no issue accommodating our group of ten quite efficiently. I had the bacon-wrapped scallops and hubby had the flying pig burger. Both were quite tasty, although I could tell that the scallops had been frozen. The onion rings seemed to be homemade... would definitely order those again. All in all, we had a great experience here and would come back again.

Fast and Fresh only at Greco Pizza. We make our dough from scratch everyday fresh, for you to enjoy. We serve Donairs, Chicken Wings, Pizza, Salads, and our famous Garlic Cheese Fingers. We use fresh local vegetables and Chris Brothers deli meats made right here in Moncton, NB.
I had a desire to eat a Donair one day and went to Greco in Sussex and ordered the 1/2 lb. baby. It was awesome as expected. I forgot how messy these things are with all the garlic sauce supplied. My wife wasn't pleased with my breath later that day:( So, bottom line..very tasty but messy.

Took the family here one Sunday after church as my in-laws were visiting. They are Czech and we've toured Europe together. The restaurant reminded us of several pubs and restaurants we were in while in Germany, Czech, etc.
The food was average but very expensive. A nice spot to visit once in a while but not to frequent for sure.
Service was friendly.

Service and food were excellent.
Only annoyance being children who can't seem to be supervised by their parents!
It is a family restaurant but a pity people can't have respect for others.
Parties of 10 or so adults were well behaved however!
Good selection of food and drink and an attached Lounge.
Would eat here again.

Established in 1998 Sully's is a seasonal ice cream parlour located in the historic Sussex train station. It employs 4-6 students each summer and has raised over $50,000 in scholarships for local students since it opened.
I loved stumbling across this little ice cream shop. They have approximately sixty flavours to choose from and very helpful staff. The prices were extremely reasonable.
The nostalgia of this place was that it was set in the old train station for Sussex. It was neat to sit and eat an ice cream on the spot where people would sit and wait for the train.

Wonderful lunch. In the Centre of the small community who would expect to find such a restaurant...lovely salads (I recommend the crispy chicken) and great desserts. Although we missed breakfast we have been told that their cinnamon buns are to die for

Traveling through and looking for lunch and a few beers, came across this pub. Do not judge the book by the cover. Pleasant Seating on outdoor patio with umbrellas. Served very quickly and efficiently. Good choice on menu. Food arrived quickly and our waitress continued to be very attentive throughout our meal. Good value or money.

We had stopped for coffee here in the afternoon and the dinner menu looked good. Unfortunately, we arrived just after a large party ordered dinner in the pub. We were left alone in the dining room for 15 minutes with just water. The waitress finally took our order and then 10 minutes after that, told us about the large group and that our food would be slow. If she had been straight up at the start, we would have gone elsewhere, but after all the waiting, and the need to drive a distance to go somewhere else, we stuck it out.
We were quite upset, and the food was not worth the wait. Not worth the drive out of town.

Off The Rail Cafe offers fresh Soups, sandwiches, desserts and organic coffees. Our sandwiches are filled with fresh local ingredients layered between our in house baked bread. We are open late on Fridays with appetizers and delicious Deserts.
A down home experience. Service is very friendly and quick. Menu may be limited if you get there too late in the day but choices are appetizing and healthy. Prices are reasonable and other than the noise from the blender (for smoothies), the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable.
