From outward appearances, and from the decor, I would not have chosen this place except for its trip advisor rating, and it was right, great food, great atmosphere, great service. Can be expensive, watch how you order your wine and fish, I think you just have to mind and ask clearly what you want. Being next to the road is off putting, but just turn around and talk to your fellow diners.

I have visited this restaurant with my wife and friends. We have arrived on Sunday afternoon and all tables were reserved. However very polite stuff member did find a table for four.
We ate octopus with cheese, calamari with vegetables and noodles, sea urchin pasta and cuttlefish with cheese and prosciutto. The food was great, authentic and exciting. Prices are mid range but considering the quality, the view from the Terrace and really nice atmosphere I think you get good value for the money..
We will definitely go there again.

We just had dinner at restaurant Ante. It was the best meal we had lately. Great fish, great steaks and great semifreddo. Also, great atmosfere, boys and girls just know how to work! Eat here, You won't be disappointed!

Batela Tavern is part of the hotel resort. The indoor area can seat 70 people, and the Terrace can seat 100 people. You can try local dishes and delicious fish and meat specialties in a pleasant atmosphere. Your experience will be complete after you have had a sip of homemade liquor, listened to some Dalmatian music and been served by our competent and friendly staff.
Visited the restaurant today, service was very fresh and friendly, I ordered octopus salad and grilled seabass, and both was amazing, I could eat it again tomorrow. My girlfriend though, ordered tomato salad, wich was quite plain, tomatoes cut in boats, no seasoning, no herbs at all. As main course she ordered grilled salmon, but it was not fresh, it was dry as cardboard and was drastically overcooked, we addressed that to the waiter, who kindly deducted the course from our bill, and apologised, and he told us that he did try to recommend the local fish ! We think: why have it on the menu if it's not up their standards. We also had some local whitewine that was absolutely stunning. Our recommendations would be, eat at this place, but only order local stuff, ask the waiter for advice. If we didn't have the split decision, this place would have gotten our best recommendations.

This place is so worth getting off the beaten track for. The food is lovely and traditional. The staff are friendly and I appreciated their good English! Make sure you book though as they are always packed. The only reason I give only 4 stars is that we went when they were fully booked and waited nearly an hour to eat. I feel like they need to consider expanding their kitchen to cope.

This place is great! Svim domaćim turistima toplo preporučam jer će dobiti više... Hrana je obilata i odlična a posluga je ljubazna. To all foreigners - if you want good food and greatest service don't hesitate you'll be stuffed and satisfied with rations. The atmosphere is cosily and romantic in the evening.

Fish platter for 2 with three whole fish as fresh as you can find grilled in a wonderful garlicky butter, plus crustacea, side dish and a delicious bottle of local Rose: served with charm, pride and warmth. Cost about £50 I think my husband said, not that I was listening by that point. On the sea front a short walk from Hotel Alana. A perfect supper in the warmth of a Croatian evening.

The restaurant is located in Rovanjska, a small and quiet place at the seaside, 30 km northeast from Zadar and 1,5 km northwest from the toll booths at the exit Maslenica on Zagreb-Split highway. (Latitude 44.25171, Longitude 15.54045) We offer you rich a la carte dishes based on Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant has 50 seats in an enclosed, large Terrace with 100 seats and free internet access. Besides the good food and homely atmosphere you can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and the Velebit mountain and in the evening ,one of the most beautiful sunsets. The Restaurant Bartol is ideal for organized groups up to 60 people.
We stopped here for lunch following a morning visit to the national park. Nothing to look at from the road but once inside a lovely roof Terrace overlooks the sea in-let. Good choice of food including meat, fish and pizza. Very reasonable prices (e.g. pizza for about 40 kuna;mixed grill with grilled veg for 85 kuna). Big portions (too big for lunch really). Definitely would recommend.

After a wonderful weekend filled with participation in the Paklenica Trail race, resting in the beautiful Bluesun resort camp, and a day-long tour of the national park, we decided to have a quick dinner before heading to Zagreb. We selected Pizzeria Degenias as a recommendation, but the pizzas are exceptionally small and expensive, and the waiter is below every average. In short, it could not spoil our beautiful weekend and impressions, but it is very disappointing. In NP Paklenica we will certainly return, but not in Degen.
