Great value tourist restaurant in the CC San Agustin Gran Canaria
We, 2 adults and 2 children (9 & 12) visited this restaurant. The food was good quality and good value and the service excellent. For €50 we had the following. Two starters of grilled prawns, fillet steak and lamb chops both with baked potatoes and vegetables. Two chicken and chips, ice cream, tirrimasu, a 500ml carafe of red wine, a 350ml carafe of white wine and two apple juices, complimentary were 3 shots of snaps, two good sized brandies, a good sized scotch, 2 sangrias and bread with aioli

We went to Ugo's on the recommendation of the owner of the hotel (Casa Pampa) where we were staying. It is out of the main part of town, but close enough to our hotel that we could walk.
The restaurant is simply decorated, and it wasn't overly crowded the night we were there, but definitely busy.
We were greated at our table by Ugo himself. He saw that our son was hungry and he immediately called over one of the wait-staff, and put in our order of plain noodles. Then we chatted with him for a bit, he made some recommendations, and we ordered. Very soon after we got our drinks our son was happily eating his noodles and behaving. It was so kind of Ugo to take the time to get our son settled so we, and other customers, could enjoy the evening.
The pasta was excellent, as was the brushetta.
If we ever return to San Agustin, we would definitely go back to Restaurante Italiano da Ugo!

It is located on the road from Parque San Agustin to your hotel in th village. On this road are several restaurants. We had chosen Donde Richard. Crowded. The restaurant looks nice. It is not too expensive. But the food itself is average on its best. The meal of my wife was qualified as "bad" . The fish was not "robalo" (bass) but we couldnot identify what kind of fish it really was. Anyway it was horrible. And robalo is not horrible, it is a very nice fish to eat. Waste if money and waste of time.

We came across this place when walking back from the archaelogical park. It has great coffee and some very tasty French pastries. Worth a visit!

We got brought here by a friend out of San Austin, he said that they had the best meat here.
Well, he was right! It was really tender and juicy. The parilla works it's magic. It's not a romantic place but the waiters are friendly and it very clean.

4 of us have just been to this place. While the food was good, they tried to inflate the price of wine by 100%.
We asked for a menu and they said they don't have a menu.
One of us went to see the wines they had and asked for the price, the waitress said 60.000
When the bill came, to our surprise we were charged 130.000
After a big argument with the waiter and the owner of the place, magically a menu appeared (when they first said they didn't have a menu).
The price was there: 120.000 but clearly the waitress lied - most probably guided by the owner who was clearly trying to shamelessly inflate prices to rip off European tourists.
Place like this village live off tourist, but if they continue to try to rip off tourists, I can't see people coming back.
I will not come back for sure and I don't recommend anyone to go to this place.

Organic food and own garden from where most spices for the preparation of salads and sauces. PLEASANT HOPE YOUR VISIT TO HAVE THE PLEASURE OF SERVE
On a bend in the road from town to the archeological park, this is a quaint and classy place that seems to be a bit overpriced at first glance at the menu but the food is high quality restaurant fare, superbly prepared and presented. We had the vegetarian pasta which was a huge bowl of perfectly cooked vegetables in a light and flavoursome sauce with just the right amount of pasta nestled in the bottom of the bowl - the opposite to how Italians make it and in my mind, the right way! Definitely a place to check out in San Agustin for a quality, upper level meal.

The biggest surprise of this restaurant was how good the food was.
I wasn't expected much from a restaurant that pretty much only sells two types of starter and two types of mains but my God, the quality of the food was EXCELLENT.
I came away so satisfied with the lasagna (day 1) and the pasta (day 2).
But make sure you get here after 12 or before 11 as their is a limbo period where no food is served. Also, it has been known to sell out of food very quickly.

The pizza dough was not too bad but to much sauce made it a bit slimy in the middle. Also it was almost a bit too small for one person. Prices with 12-15.000 quite ok though.
The waiters were very attentive! Unfortunately it rained and dropped through the roof(not sure if there is one, it was too dark) on one side of the area next to the oven. I was moved to another table as soon as they noticed.
In case that is still in question: they definitely bake the pizza in a real wood fired oven! You also get olive oil, homemade chili oil, oregano and chilly flakes to spice up your pizza.

We stopped here on our first night in town. Having ridden all day in an assortment of transports from Tierradentro, we were looking for something quick and uncomplicated when a man pointed out this cafe adjacent to the Iglesia de San Agustín and Supermerado Olimpica.
The waitress produced a menu and we chose chicken and mushroom wraps. We sat outside on one of the 2 small sidewalk tables, people watching, and soon were each served a plate with 2 large wraps, each covered with a light cheese sauce. Our hunger was quickly satiated with the tasty chicken chunks. Great food for $9.
The next day resting at their Fuente Del Lavapatas annex in the Archeological Park, we enjoyed their mochaccino and granita($2.50) along with many others.
