When visiting Riquewihr we always look forward to eating at the Sarment d'Or since discovering it about 18 months ago. Last week did not disappoint. The welcome is always courteous and warm and the staff are very attentive. The food is excellent and great value. Wine is available by the glass and the staff are more than happy to make recommendations. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Many thanks to the whole team.

Above all, Jean-Luc Brendel is passionate about, and loves, cooking. Today rewarded with a one-star rating by the Guide Michelin (R) Jean-Luc has become one of the most influential Chefs of the region. His gastronomic restaurant in Riquewihr "Table du Gourmet" is a fine culinary discovery. Inspired associations of flavours, the subtle presentation of each dish and the sheer refinement of each creation epitomise his gastronomic cuisine that reflects the colours of Alsace.
We went here, as we have been visiting this place several times before and food and service have been excellent.
We ordered the big menu and followed by the suggested wine menu.
Amuses and food was very creative and tasted fantastic, but unfortunately the serving went totally wrong, here some examples:
They do not have soda water only juices and as we don't want to serve alcohol for our 15 year old daughter, so she have to drink sparkling water all evening
The wine waiter talked to us in child language and in general talked down to us
There was a lot of wine flies in the restaurant which went into our glasses, this was "fixed" with that they came with a spoon so we could take the flies out by our self and then they come with a paper cover we could put on top of our glasses - IN A MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT????
In general we are disappointed, not about the food, but the remaining set-up and for sure, no place else than France they will get a Michelin star, if they still have it

My husband and I were very warmly greeted at Chez Martine for lunch. I had a delicious slice of Quiche Lorraine and my husband had lightly fried flounder. Our waitress was very cheerful and pleasant, tolerating our non-existent French with charm.
I really enjoyed the quiche. It was beautifully presented and delicious. My husband also liked his fish, although it was not his first choice. Chez Martine was out of a few items on the menu because they are about to take their vacation. For dessert, my husband had a pear and chocolate tart and I had a cherry tart. They were very tasty and not too huge! Prices were very reasonable, too.

Cuisine du terroir dans un cadre typiquement alsacien ,choucroute cuisinée Maison ,jambonneaux aux sauces diverses
Loved our lunch today at La Flammerie! We chose traditional Alsace dishes and wines and were thoroughly satisfied in. Both quality and quantity. The three pork cuts with sauerkraut and potatoes dish was huge and delicious with horseradish cream and Dijon mustard. The local cheese topped tart flambee was equally tasty and satisfying.
Prompt service, great decor and English spoken. Value for money.
Staff quick to tell us this was Alsace food- not French!

We picked this restaurant based on Trip Adviser recommendations and we were not disappointedly! Though we did not fully understand what we were ordering, each of the four of us were delighted with our lunch. Two of us chose Alcascatian dishes and the others had salads. All the portions were very large - we remarked that we could have split two between the four of us. My salad with three cheeses was remarkable and the beef with potatoes very tasty! The service was friendly and we worked through with my friend's competent French. Lovely wince. We were very happy with our choice!

My husband and I were recently in Ribeauville for the second time this year and we had occasion to stop for dinner at Restaurant l'Arbalete. The atmosphere was energetic, but inviting. The food was very generously proportioned and well prepared. I had ham with potatoes and vegetables and my husband had a ham gratin dish made with local cheese. We washed our dinners down with a local wine.
Service was warm and friendly and the prices were reasonable. They were also very willing to pack up our leftovers for us so we could finish them later. Otherwise, we would have wasted a lot of food. Portion sizes are generous. Looks to be very kid friendly, too, though we didn't have kids with us.
We'd visit again.

From outside, this auberge looks quite standard. Step inside and let this family run business exceed your expectations. Everything is freshly prepared and Marie-Pierre delights in describing the dishes on offer. While you wait, take some time to explore the treasure trove of historic menus displayed on the walls. The food is expertly prepared and they will also guide you towards an optimum wine selection, based on your tasting preferences rather than prices. A thoroughly enjoyable evening

We definately had one of our better dinner experiences at Grappe d'Or. The athmosphere it cozy and the walls are filled with old wine attributes. On top of this the dinner was superb. This restaurant does not offer the normal heavy Alsacian food but more delicate dishes with an Alsacian touch. I had a warm Munster cheese with a very tasty salad as a starter. As main dish we had the Monkfish with tomato sauce. We were skeptical about the tomato sauce but it was really well cooked and was a perfect match with the fish. When it comes to the wines they offer good Alsacian wines at very descent prices. Some other guests complain about the service level but the ladies who took care of us were very alert and service minded. We will most definately go back!

Cuisine elaboree a partir de produits frais de saison. Maitre restaurateur Grande carte des vins Vins au verre Service 12h a 13h30 19h a 21h30 Le dimanche ,cuisine en continu jusqu'a 21 heures
This is a review from our previous visit a while ago but the place has such class I want to add my thoughts to all the rest.
Classy and classic dishes are matched with a lot of creativity but still looking and sounding like there's a regional hint to the menu.
Our lunch could nt have been better (it could have been cheaper!).
The wine list reads like the who's who's of Alsace greats with very many of the selection orgsanic or even biodynamic

Very tidy, well-maintained place - you could see they took great care for their establishment. Menu simple but all we wanted was tart flambees each and son had the kip nuggets which were actually real chicken pieces (he loved it.)
