The only one gastronomic restaurant around Ajaccio
20 years after nothing changed
The quality of the food
Fresh , local product, ambiance, nice staff
True it's little bit expensive but what a place
One tip
Ask to the BROTHERS their advice for the wine and try the Corsican wine !

We just returned from dinner and we were looking forward to it after Reading the reviews. The house wine"l'ambata"was excellent as was the nicoise salad but the srimp flambé was very disappointing..they said there would be 5 and there were 4 but I only ate one as they tasted very off. This was shrimp which had seen better days. I have eaten seafood/Shrimp from all over the world and these were definitely off...did not taste right at all, but the-service by staff was good.My wife said her pizza was just ok.

Visited this restaurant in July. It is so lovely to be able to eat outside. Service was good and the food was very good. The corsican pate starter was plenty for two and my suckling pig with cheese sauce was brilliant. My lady's chicken was delicious. The wine was decent and the price was very reasonable. My only small criticism was that they didn't have any gin. I will go back.

>I truly enjoyed my dining experience even though staff didn't speak English and the menu was small/limited.
>Most guests appeared to be locals shaking hands with the owner/servers - always a good sign.
>Local (Corse) wines, meats, produce... Homemade, flavorful and very reasonably priced - No wonder the place was PACKED!!
**When asked, the waitress only said "Stomach" but couldn't tell me "of which animal..."
The mystery meat(tripet?) still tasted good cooked in savory stew/sauce.
>"Châtaigne" dessert (chestnut mousse cake) was to die for. I am a huge fan of chestnuts all my life and this is absolutely one of the best. Excellent!! Would love a dozen shipped to me...
>Owner/manager(?) kindly offered me a small glass of Mirto (dark Corsican liqueur from myrtle) to try. What a sweet way to end a Corsican evening.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who is a local and it also is ranked #1 for restaurants in Porticcio, so we decided to give it a shot. Maybe it is because we had high expectations, but we were not impressed. While the decor inside is fairly nice, the biggest issue is that it is located right on the main highway in what can only be described as a strip mall, so you hear cars passing by throughout your meal and it really feels like you are sitting next to a parking lot if you are outside. The wine menu is very limited and there is nothing high-end to choose from, the bread does not seem to be homemade/fresh (little pre-made dinner rolls), and the food is just ok. Fish soup was tasty, but our entrees seemed to be more about presentation than quality ingredients or preparation. The only upside, which is a big upside, is the owner is very friendly and the service was very attentive. However, I have no idea how this place made it to #1 on the Trip Advisor list.

Lovely ambience and friendly service. Nice meal but maybe just a little lacking in flair in terms of accompaniments and presentation.

the place is simple and somehow tipical being at a campground, but the pizzas we had were very good and tasty. a very thin dough, a bit burned at the edges and plenty topping. :)
the desserts as profiteroles and tiramisú were homemade and good as well.
staff was quite friendly, although you should not be in a hurry, because the waiting time could be a bit longer then expected.
all in all pleased to suggest this place and to step in again.

Came here for dinner on 31st July with the family (two kids)
Waiter very friendly and amusing
Portions generous - bread was quickly filled
Service generally good
Sea veiw lovely and watched a super service
Wine recommendation was very good and mid-range
Slightly pricier than some - total bill was 119 Euro including a 30 Euro bottle of wine - most food mains genrally in the region of 18-24 euros
Also there is a bar side with a more cost effective menu with Pizzas etc
Frankly on this stretch of beach you could do a lot worse so i would recommend the Ice Bar as a safe bet

We were in Corsica this November with our French friends from Antibes. They love Corsica and took us to lunch at one of their favorite Corsican restaurants Le Club. They meal was excellent with a beautiful setting on the sea. The restaurant also had a bar-snack-buffet and Boulangerie-Patisserie Artisanale.

Very nice place ruined by the son of the restaurant owner in Hotel la Maquis. Superb service and very nice fresh local seafood. Very highly recommended among other restaurants around. Order table on the Terrace above to enjoy the sunset.
