Had 2 wonderful meals from this place. My filet mignon was done to perfection and had a tasty array of roasted vegetables. My wife's stuffed chicken was also delicious and rave worthy. Excellent wine selection and good service in a peaceful and lovely setting. My only complaint would be that the carpet needed some vacuuming because there was food all over it, and we ate at the first sitting of the evening.

Stopped for lunch on a Thursday. It was quite chilly so we didn't eat outside but the deck looked like a great place to have a meal.
I had a naan chicken Sandwich which was quite good: fries were average at best. My wife had a french onion soup which was OK, but overpriced at $ 10.00.
The atmosphere here is great. Lively, friendly servers, music and a great view. If you are looking for a nice spot with decent food, this is a good place to try.

At highly rated Nick Faldo-designed golf club.
Recently had dinner here. Our wonderful server also picked us up from Clevelands House and drove us back! Service was excellent . The view overlooking the golf course was great. Thanks to our server for going out of her way to get markers, pens so that the grandkids could color. The dinner was very good. Had to move indoors to finish our wine, those nasty mosquitos were out. The staff never rushed us so very enjoyable.

Fresh and local fine dining in the heart of Muskoka.
I have no idea why this restaurant is so highly rated. It is extremely over priced and the food is nothing special. $7 to add one (1) shrimp to a pasta dish? I have never heard of something so ridiculous. I came home to Toronto the following night and 4 of us had a lovely and far more delicious dinner for less than what we paid here for 2 of us. There are much better places to eat in Muskoka.

Wonderful quiches for an easy breakfast when you have company at the cottage. The focaccia is excellent - great to make appetizers or croutons. Freezes well.
Miss the deep dish crumb top apple pie they used to make.
They have double crust cherry, apple or blueberry now.
Port carling location has an ice cream shop behind their store.

Windermere House's fine dining restaurant that overlooks Lake Rosseau. Menu is served both in the Rosseau Grill dining room and on the iconic verandah
We started this years "Muskoka" trip at the Windermere House and had dinner at the Rosseau Grill on the Saturday night.
The Grill is located at the far corner of the building and affords the dinner with excellent views of the Lake. The restaurant has a nice layout and you can sit along the sides if you want a quieter dinning experience. The menu is limited but the daily specials make up for it. The wine list is not massive but it has sufficient variety that everyone should find something. The staff can get overwhelmed at times but the food comes our fresh and hot and with a smile. The lounge outside the door is a great way to finish off the night.

At Teca, we focus on simple, delicious Chef-crafted food made with the freshest ingredients. Sounds from the open kitchen and the aroma of the woodstone oven create the environment of a Italian family gathering. This is a place for great food, conversation, laughter with friends and loved ones. Group gatherings are elevated by the emphasis on family-style dining.
The service was quicker and the food quality was much better than our last visit. Maybe they are taking the comments to heart from guests. But we also were the last Seating of the night so maybe that had something to do with it because we heard from other guests that service for them was still slow.

JOSSY'S food is always fresh and served with a smile
Glad we ignored the SatNav when it wanted us to take the highway so that we passed this food stop! As this was our first time in Canada, we have just discovered Poutine, and the poutine here was delicious. Also, Jossy and here help were...MoreIt was great meeting you both Hope your trip to Canada was fabulous Thank you for the kind words Cheers Jossy & Staff

Excellent food, highly recommend the cauliflower tacos as well as the carne asada. The wait for a table is insane and unjustified. The service was as best clumsy but friendly and at worst just spectacularly disorganized. Also, when a customer asks for "no onions I'm allergic" and you put green onions ALL OVER the taco? And then say to the customer "yes, this has no onions"? You get no tip. None.

We recently visited visited Waters Edge at The Lake Joseph Club to for a special birthday celebration, and were incredibly disappointed by both the food and the service. The restaurant was very busy…full of families celebrating similar special events…and also full of poorly behaved children that were running all over the place, which was very distracting and took away from the ‘fine dining’ atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was initially attentive, with our food and drink orders placed quickly, and the server confirming that we were there for a special birthday celebration, but seemed to go downhill from there. The server forgot to bring bread to our table, and left our drinks empty. When two people in our party complained about the flavor and consistency of the ahi tuna she simply shrugged and said the shipment varies daily. When we ordered desert there was no special attention given to the fact that we were celebrating a birthday…a simple candle would have gone a long way. The food here is way overpriced, and the service seriously lacking. After fifteen years of visiting The Lake Joseph Club, our family decided this would be the last.
