The menu is all composed by local dishes and the flavour is excellent. The restaurant is located on a rustic village that deserves a visit.
This restaurant is also part of a rural tourism so you can spend the night at this village. On sundays you should make a reservation.

Typical Portuguese food restaurant, family style, with outdoor Seating with a great view over the river and ancient bridge.
We stopped here twice on our way to and from the Mountains for the Christmas holiday, and both meals (lunches) satisfied our entire group. On the advice of the Portuguese couple we traveled with, we ordered several traditional dishes that I'd not yet tried, including the caldeirada de cabrito (goat stew) and beef cheeks. If you have a smaller appetite, try the half portion, as the normal servings are enormous. All come with salads and other vegetables that were well cooked and seasoned. And there were a couple of vegetarian entrees, including a vegetarian rissois, for the veggie in our party. After carafes of the house white and red, we had to fend off sleep with a walk along the river that winds through town. Hearty, rich, and excellent value!

In a Great hotel is a very Good restaurant. Very professional and attentive staff. They give Good advice! The slow cooked babygoat was delicious, the lavender scented creme brullée is also worth respect. The wine pairing was also Good with strong red from Dão region.

Not too many restaurants in Pedrogao Grande as it is a small place.
The restaurant itself resembles a cosy small Cafe rather than a well lit classroom.
Staff is friendly and the menu big. The food is good but nothing special.
I could eat and drink for half the price within a one minute walk but would not have the same atmosphere.

Dined here twice for dinner during a four day visit to Serta. The food is unpretencious and delicious and we sampled some Portuguese wines and port (also delicious!)! Lovely panoramic views, friendly and efficient service. Great value for money. What's not to like? Will definitely return

Drinks and food in general are exceptional. I love the sangrias (specially the ones from Vinho do Porto and Moscatel), the Deserts ("Gelados Artesanais", "Arroz doce", "Pastel de feijão", among others), the different hamburgers plates (specially the one with wild mushrooms), and the divine "Presa...MoreMuito obrigado pelo seu comentário. Oleiros is a small town in eastern Portugal with fabulous mountain scenery but few formal places to eat. The Prontinho Restaurante is a very Portuguese restaurant, just off the main square, offering formal Portuguese dining at a reasonable price, ie, lunch for two with bread, wine, olives, water, two main and two sweet courses and coffees for about 35 euros in total.
Service is formal and the food is good. No English spoken - I guess Portuguese is the only language, but that's part of the fun. On a hot day this is a pleasant oasis.
