Sprawling tea plantations surround the serene hills of Munnar, which attract adventure travelers hungry for paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak) and hikes originating at the confluence of three mountain streams. The stone Christ Church, built by the British in 1910, is adorned with renowned works of stained glass, and Eravikulam National Park, about 10 miles away, is home to equally colorful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

I have been to saravana bhawan many times speically in Delhi however to munnar it was first time and first is always memorable.
You would not get better food then here and it's just value for money. I have ordered dosa and it comes out to be jumbo dosa ever I have tested. Food is just not delicious but it's satisfactory.
I have tried something call ghee dosa..and it's again mouthwatering and what. I love the most it was coffee that they served.
When toy enter they serve lukewarm water anf food was served. They keep on serving accompaniments till you finish you food.
For me it was special and surely most recommended places to eat in Munnar.

Abad Copper Castle has a Multi cuisine Restaurant serving Indian, Continental and Chinese dishes. The Restaurant has a magnificent view of the Valley. The Lawn garden is an ideal place for Camp Fire party.
As per my experience this was best restaurant in munnar. I eat in many hotels nearby, but food in Abad was amazing.

Located in the main market area, this restaurant offers majorly non vegetarian dishes that too fried versions. Doesn't offer much for vegetarians both in taste and in variety. Ordered veg fried rice but got bleakly tasting and undercooked boiled rice.

Tried the Fire-Grill riverside restaurant in Munnar. It was a great experience. The live kitchen was awesome and the food was very delicious. The staffs were very friendly and made sure that the dinner became a memorable event. Special thanks to Charleston. He suggested the special combo platter and it was superb.

good place for hot fresh food. Very small place around the area and only 100% veg option. Price are ok considering the area and price around but overall litlle higher. Please do try the kadhi khichdi in dinner or the poori bhajji in the morning. can be used as food option for people staying around in star resorts around. This will feel light on pocket and much tastier food than resorts.

Hotel Sri Nivas serves good vegetarian dishes and in fact there are only few vegetarian restaurants and Sri Nivas is one of the best. The Ghee roast and Masala dosa are fresh and crispy and tasted great with sambar and chutney. The restaurant was moderately crowded when we went there and the restaurant was well maintained and clean. The vegetarian dishes are prepared in the traditional style and better than what we have in the vegetarian restaurants in the cities. The staff were also giving good attention to each guests. Nice restaurant to have veg items while in Munnar.
