Jalgaon ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a city in western India, located in northern Maharashtra. It is one amongst top ten hottest place in India and scorching heat of Jalgaon had always been noteworthy and troublesome. It is the administrative headquarters of Jalgaon district. Jalgaon has a municipal corporation, and had 460,228 residents at the 2011 census (530,911 population with extended area). Jalgaon can be reached by National Highway 6 or with a Railway and has an airport with commercial flights to Mumbai. Known as "Banana City", it contributes about half of Maharashtra's banana production.

This relatively unknown attraction, approximately 7 km's from Jalgaon Bus Stand, is a great peaceful place to visit as well as stay. The monument is in a large well maintained campus full of fruit-laden trees. Being situated atop a hillock it provides a great view of the city. Although a little far of from the main town, it is well within reach and has all the amenities inside the campus. It is a must visit if you have some 2-3 hrs to spare

Its on a bank of river Girna , outside village kanalda , its approx 12 km from Jalgaon city in Maharashtra state. Shauntala was a Manas kanya ( presumed daughter) of Maharshi Kanva actualy she was daughter of Vishwamita rushi and Menka , she as a child found to Maharshi Kanva when Shakuntal birds were providing shade from sun to girl child shakuntala . When she grown she fall in love with king Dushyant and they gave birth to child Bharat .
Its having Cave in the side of ashram it is been tell by people that there is unknown end to that cave hence for preventive purpose its one end closed by Govt.
Shakuntala has been cursed by one rushi when she was remembering Dusyant , that she will have been forget by King Dushyant .

Manudevi already have a great history behind it, and top of it the temple is situated in the middle of conserved forest, and next to a huge and beautiful waterfall. On the way to manudevi you drive next to the river and observe natural beauty.
It's really an amazing experience.

Amazing beautiful temple of Shakhar Bhagwan. 30mins from Jalgaon station appx. Near location is very nice and peaceful. Try to attend the Aarti of evening or morning time. 30 mins Aarti is marvellous you will enjoy the same. If you like such Holi place.

Whoever visits and enters this pious, neat and perfect place of worship, all his/her sufferings are returned in the form of happiness / peace. It has happened to all and it has certainly happened to me without any iota of doubt.
A visit in this temple will enable you to comprehend, understand, appreciate and feel the strength of Lora Ganesha and in this case it is Ecchapurti Ganesha Temple- which means your Eccha which also means Wish in Marathi/Hindi Purthi construes complete/done. So all your wish will be done.

Went there around 23rd December 2017 as part of a road trip along with friends. Fortunately , could get permission to stay in Forest Guesthouse. Road is decent but Place is deserted. Could not have found it without google maps.
No wildlife .. weather was fantastic

Not used to having to go through security checks, being body scanned and having my bag/purse searched through when entering malls. First time that happened was here.
We went up to the 2nd floor, where there were no shops, something we didn't know until we were there. While walking around to the other escalators, we were hissed and shouted at in a language we could not understand (local or Hindi) by two ladies on that floor. When we did not go up, and continued to the escalator going down, one of the ladies suddenly spoke English and told us we were not allowed here, and was in a big hurry to get us away from this deserted floor. There were no signs, or anything blocking us, saying it was not okay, beside these ladies. But "walking not allowed" we were told rather rudely.
The only kind-of enjoyable thing was walking through Big Bazar, although upon entering my bag was closed with a plastic strip so I could not open it (and I guess steal) while walking around. The strip made it uncomfortable to wear as the shoulder strap was much tighter. The security guard also followed us (not discreetly at all) and stared for a long time before we could browse by ourselves.
Will not come back.
