I've still yet to find a place with better beef-on-the-rib - It's stunning! Portions are large and when you take into account that all the side-dishes are replenished on request you need to come with a considerable appetite. I’ve noted some comments about poor service - I’d argue the service is efficient rather than friendly but I’d recommend a Korean-speaker be present to assist with ordering etc. as English language capabilities are somewhat wanting. Another thing that sets this place apart is rather than your usual Korean repertoire of beer and shochu they also have a reasonable wine list which would appeal to most foreigners. Anyway, I highly recommend the place!

when i worked in suwon i tried to find best kalbi korean bbq beef rib restaurant. i found best two. one is bonsuwon kalbi and the other is Shilla kalbi. this restaurant is most popular for everybody for suwon citizens. the other place is good for nice clean atmosphere.

Great experience in Korean food. Excellent service (quick, attentative) but almost no English. The menu includes English "names" but you may not know what they actually mean (and there are no pictures to make to choice simpler). The food, however, is delicious and there is a lot of it.
If you want to try Korean food, there is hardly a better choice.
Slightly more expensive than other places around.

If you are sick of kimchi this is the place for a very nice Aussi steak. Good and fast service for western price level.

Best I've had and I have had many (kobe, wagyu etc) they do not sell any other meats.. Even the banchan was great! Go for the Korean beef!

When you're in Suwon don't miss this place. Suwon is famous for Galbi and Gabojeong is my favorite but if you think Galbi is too heavy for lunch then this is the place.
It's very close to Haenggung and Suwon museum. So after seeing those two have lunch at Suwon Mandu.
This is Chinese restaurant and from my experience they have one of the best mandu (dumpling) not only in town but in Korea.
Take the fried one. Steamed us also good but fried is far better.
I am a regular at the restaurant and I love going back every time.
Their Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) is superb and I love Swegogitangmyeon.
After the lunch take a walk along the fortress. You can find volunteering guides at the information center which is off street on the west side of Paldalmun. I think they also have English speaking guides too.
After walking around for quite some time you can have Galbi dinner. If you are on tight budget visit Jidong market where you can get Bindaedduk, jokbal etc. there is also famous chicken street near Paldalmun. There are several fried chicken restaurants. They sell fried whole chicken. The chickens are dip fried without batter and taste great.
I think my review strayed off a bit. Suwon mandu is a great restaurant and in a very convenient location. The price is not too high but on the higher side if compared to other Chinese restaurants. Still it's worth it.
Dumpling cost 5500KRW
Beef soup noodle 5000KRW
if you come with friends order small (15000KRw) or large (20000KRW) Tangsuyuk with above dishes.

They use very good quality fresh material first of all and the taste was very well up to the my expectation and my expectation was very high due to the reputation of the chef.
We ordered quite a lot of dishes and all of them tasted really good and all of us were very satisfied. Especially the crab meat soup was my life time best!
Good place for family get together or company event but make sure to reserve if you prefer to eat in the cozy private room.
two thumbs up!!

I was craving Paneer Makhani or other Paneer-tomato curry, but when we arrived to Suembu, they only had one paneer curry on the menu (Palak Paneer). So, I asked the Korean waitress, was it really the only one. She confimed. So, my husband and I both ordered this same dish. And were we shoked when it arrived! It had Camambert cheese in there insted of Paneer!! I was soooo disappointed! And I have pointed this nonsense to the waitress immediately. She looked at me in surprise and went to the kitchen to consult. She came back to simply confirm that I was right - no apology, no substitution, no refund offered! Total neglect! And the curry, where this Camambert rested, was too salty and not spicy and plainly hardly edible. I am not a person to leave food on my plate, but this was beyond me. And I have visited half a dozen Indian restuarants in the vicinity, and already had this experience in one of them when they sold Tofu in place of Paneer (ha-ha), but this one is the worst! Still feel cheated. Lassi and curd were OK, though. So, I have accounted for the "food", the lack of "service"... Now about "value". No way! 13000 KRW for this shame of a curry is way too expensive (our full bill for 2 adults and 1 child was close to 60 000 KRW).
The decor and atmosphere is nice, otherwise my rating would be 1/5.
My advice is to beware of this paneer dish if you do go there, ask carefully.
We won't come back there again for sure. Especially, as there are plenty of better options in Dongtan and Suwon.

Your eyes will definitely be bigger than your stomach when you come in here. It is a seafood buffet that offers tastes from China, Japan, and Korea, as well as, American eats such as steak, potatoes and grilled veggies. It's clean and the service is great. On Sundays they have fish carving at the sushi bar. They are willing to accommodate for different tastes. I asked for a pizza without cheese and vegetable sushi and they chefs were happy to oblige.
I attended a first birthday party there as well and they did a fabulous job catering for that event.

I went into "A Twosome Place" for a quick light lunch when I was staying just a few doors up from the café at the "Ibis Suwon Hotel" on a business trip to Suwon-si.
It is a fairly standard coffee shop / café (a bit like Starbucks) with plenty of comfortable Seating, WiFi and a good selection of cakes, snacks and beverages. I had a warmed Cheese and Ham Panini (KW6,000) and a Large Café Latte (KW4,900) and both were very nice. There is an small decked area outside where you can sit weather permitting.
A nice place worth a visit whether alone, in a 'twosome' or a larger group!
