The food, service and decor is very poor. The soup was from a can, the chicken was like rubber and the waitress was rude and abrupt when asking for service. We will never go back. As well the price was high for such a disappointing meal. I have never written a review before however we feel strongly about warning others about this restaurant.

Westside Fish and Chips Family Restaurant has been run by the same family since 1979. Although they became famous for hand dipped, hand cut, English Style Fish and Chips the menu is versatile enough for all types and sizes of appetites. One wouldn't think that a fish and chip shop could make a good breakfast and they don't...they make a GREAT breakfast! The BEST Eggs Benny, hand cut and grilled homefries, eggs made to order and much more. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is something to please everyone. From picky eaters to vegetarians and those avoiding gluten, you'll find something to like. Check out the over 500 teapots adorning shelves all over the restaurant and the dozens of Disney and other animated paintings on the ceiling.

Friendly and fast service on a Tuesday evening. At 5:30 there were only two other tables. By the time we left it was almost full - obviously a popular place. The Beef Brisket Stew was deliciously flavourful as was the Aged Cheddar and Pasta Casserole. It was nice to have choices not usually found in a roadhouse type menu.

This is a delightful little place where food dishes are prepared to order and folks deliver to you at a table once food is ready. Food is excellent. Soup was delicious. And, the staff--working constantly--efficient and friendly. Only weak point..the restaurant, among other things, focusses as well on coffee. We 4 were all serious coffee consumers and found their house blend much less than notable. A sign suggests Reunion coffee (eg. Bourbon) but the coffee we tasted most certainly was not bourbon or, if so, it was far too weak. No zing to the coffee as one usually expects with Bourbon style coffees.
But, stick to the fine fresh food and drink water instead.

Sweeping lake vistas are the ideal accompaniments to generous breakfasts and great dining experiences with family and friends. Our signature Savour Muskoka inspired dining room is known for locally-inspired menus, bountiful buffets, Muskoka’s longest running Sunday brunch and experienced and courteous service.
The Sunday brunch at Eclipse (Deerhurst) is definitely worth it! A little pricey, but the staff are very attentive and friendly. The brunch spread is divine; especially the omelette station, hot items, and dessert(!). I didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day! Make sure to make a reservation for Sunday brunch.

The Norsemen Restaurant is a staple in Muskoka. Casual fine dining with a French inspired menu! We have live music each month from a local artist and Special Events that are sure to WOW any guest! With a newly renovated space, the restored original oak floors create a welcoming atmosphere while keeping the "Old Muskoka" charm. The restaurant is closed for the season re-opening May 5th with a special "Black Fly" Wine Night. A 4-course meal each paired with a selected wine and a tasting with somelier, Brendan Jerome! Call us to book your tickets today!
This restaurant is out-of-the-way. You cannot walk from most hotels in the area. We had a family meal there and my coconut-curry vegetarian dish was just awful. I had expected a nice Thai curry (most common with coconut) and was surprised by and Indian curry. The waitress could not tell me which vegetables would be in the curry and I could not figure it out (other than sweet potato, chick peas and carrot). My husband ordered the fish of the day, which was said on the menu to be accompanied by sweet pea risotto. Well, it was rice and peas, but not a creamy rissoto. The prices on the menu are quite high for Muskoka and one would expect better food and the food to match what is said on the menu. Also, if you order the carrot cake for dessert, you get two large sized pieces of cake - but there is no cream cheese icing (or any icing). I ordered the flourless chocolate cake and received something that appeared to be a small brownie (much smaller than the carrot cake). There was nothing spectacular about the meal - except the company at my table.
I should also mention that many of our wine glasses has large food particles and we had to send the glasses back to the kitchen. When wine came to the table, I never did get a wine glass and was never served a drink. No server ever asked me if I was drinking the wine ordered for the table or whether I wanted a beverage other than water. No one really seemed to care that were were all happy.

On the Docks Pub has been the hot spot for visitors and locals in the Huntsville area for the last 20 years. It is the epitome of Muskoka Cottage life. Relaxed atmosphere by day and summer party central every night! Located in the heart of Huntsville and right on the town dock; it doesn't get more central than this!
Went here for dinner two nights in a row. Small place in the winter when the patio is closed but we got lucky and got a table the first night. Staff is friendly and attentive, place has a great energetic atmosphere but definitely close and crowded quick on a Friday Saturday night even in November. Saturday we sat at the bar and the place got rowdy quick but everyone seemed to be having a great time. Not great for a quiet dinner for two but definitely seemed like the place to be. The food was great, soups were super salty but yummy. It was all very tasty and fast service. I definitely recommend it for the food and an energetic atmosphere.

We had kids and adults with us, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The kid's meal of fish and chips was amazing, very large piece of fish and delicious chips for $6.99. Their hamburgers aren't huge, but definitely homemade and cooked just right. They don't come with fries, but are priced such that when you order fries, the price comes out to the same as other pubs when offered as a package. The Rueben Sandwich was raved about as was the roast beef Sandwich which was the special of the day. They offer great craft beer, as well as reasonably priced house wine. The server was very kind and efficient. There is lots of parking available, so that should not be an issue. As for prices, we found them fair on sandwiches etc., but I agree that they did have some pretty high priced entrees.

My all-time favorite place in Huntsville to visit and eat at. Their Chicken wings are made amazingly, the sauces are fantastic and you don't feel heavy after eating. Their pizza is also amazing and it's made in a wood-burning oven. The service is also amazing, everyone is friendly and helpful. The ambiance is very comfortable, dim but helps create a warm and cozy (even a bit romantic depending on where you are) feel. The decor is very nice and the entire place is very clean. They have 2 rooftop patios and the views are also very nice with good Seating and comfort outdoors. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants reasonably priced excellent food. Ps I'm very sad I can't get the same quality of wings and food in Toronto.
