Came here for lunch on a sunny day and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, unique beers and huge portions of fresh food. An innovative ordering system, where you raise the flag on your table whenever you need the staff's attention means tables are attended to immediately.

If you are on a diet, you're in trouble!
The ice-cream at this place is incredible - all home made and with lots of extras. Guf is fluffy cream/marshmallow that they will put between the scoops. Can thoroughly recommend the blackberry sorbet, chocolate ice-cream, rum-raisin, lemon, vanilla - well everything looked good! The waffle cones are homemade too and you can have sprinkles (drys) and Flødebolle just to ensure the calorie intake goes through the roof!
The kids will love you forever for taking them here!

We wanted to have a really good and typically Danish lunch and searched in the restaurants close to the harbour for this special dish, but did not find it anywhere. So after a tip from the really professional and friendly lady in the Tourist Office, who pointed us in the direction of the Restaurant, we went to the Kro for a lunch and had a very tasty plaice (by the bones) which is a signum of a real Danish dish! It was accompanied with boiled new potatoes, a fresh salad, and melted butter on the side. Simple delicious!
The waiter was nice and friendly, it was only too bad that this restaurant was almost empty, the food was really good!

This restaurant is linked to a shop selling fresh fish (Hundested is a fishing village) and the buffet has lots of different kidns of fish: marrinated herring, smoked salmon, prawns, steamed salmon with aspargus, steam cod in a sauce with prawns, smoked cod roe, and more, plus Italian smoked ham, frikadeller, lever pate, cheese, fruit and finishing with coffee and apple pie. Every thing was fresh and very tasty, the bread was gorgeous and you could eat yourself silly for 119 kr (about £12-13) which is brilliant value.

Skipperstuen is by the harbour in Lynæs. It's a very nice place and they serve the best Danish food with emphasis on seafood. The environment is quite home like. Service is good and very friendly but because it a smaller place, during summertime peak hours you may have to wait a little for your food. Prices are reasonable.

We've been coming to Den blå ansjos for a few years now. It is always good, and on a nice day it is also quite busy. You order at the counter and then wait for your buzzer to buzz. You pick up your own food at the kitchen window. The prices are good and the atmosphere is relaxed. The fried fish is always fresh and is served with very good homemade remoulade on the side. The fried shrimp are tempura style with panko breading and are also very good. You can choose between salad or fries on the side. The salad is very big and delicious. This is a great place to come with the kids, very laid back and close to the little playground at Hundested harbor.

Very friendly service. Has a full menu in English. Had a delightful conversation with the owner who went out of his way to provide excellent service. I ordered the Matador pizza folded into a square to prevent the steak, cheeses and sauce from running off the plate and my husband had a hamburger. Loved the food. No disappointment here.

This restaurant has only opened a few months ago. We went there for lunch on our way back home from our vacation. The owner (I think he is the owner) is a lovely and very friendly man.
The fish is super fresh and tasted lovely! I think they bake the bread themselves. At least it tastes like homemade bread!
The restaurant has a lovely view onto the beach and see. Attached to the restaurant is a shop that sells fish.

Have been both for lunch and dinner in the last couple of months. This is a cafe not a restaurant, with a very nice limited menu serving home-made food - which takes time to arrive. Sat outside for lunch and indoors last night, which is very cosy. We had booked a table but on arrival was give Seating at a bar like window table - this was changed immediately. Husband ordered hakkeboef, it arrived as a lunch dish without any potatoes or vegetables, again this was rectified by the sweet waitress and an apology given. Nice cakes baked at an organic bakery and a very interesting wine list with many available by the glass. We will return
