Nice scenery, friendly staff, delicious food, great selection of meat, also a unusual kind: donkey, buffalo, venison ...
I tried a mangalitsa (a kind of pig) liver, it was excellent, soft and tasty. Also the lamb with mushrooms was great.
Not very large winelist but if you are in wineyard you'll drink local.

We visited this place during our holiday nearby twice. We found this place on TA and was recommended. The place is in a nice area amongst wine yards with beautiful view. The tables are under grape leafs which is nice during summer. You cannot drive straight to the place you have to leave car at the and of the road, but it takes 2 minutes to walk there.
There is a small playground for children to use while waiting for the meal. There are many options on the menu.
We took deer steak, fish and breaded chicken for the kids. The house lemonade was very good for kids. The deer stake was also very good the first time. Very soft and tasty. The sauce with mushrooms in it was also marvellous. I loved it. The second day we had the same deer, but that time it was not so soft, still ok. The fish was also good, my wife liked it. We had also a soup for kids but it wasn't any special. What we did not like was, that we had to wait a lot for the food. The place was not full so did not understand why it took over 40 mins to get food the first time. Secondly it was fairly ok. The portions are average size and prices are average compared to other places. Overall we liked the place so it is a 4 for us.

We were there on a family trip, and everybody from our rather picky family found something that they were happy with. That included gluten free, healthy, and traditional Hungarian food. The location was nice, too, despite the hot weather. The service was friendly, and there was even a cat! Would go back next time for sure!

Especially for breakfast, coffee breaks, desserts and more.
I love to sit in this elegant and cozy café and drink my Viennese melange with honey, accompanied by an orange or peach juice and a warmed roastbeef Sandwich.
The service staff is congenial.
Definitely I will return.

This restaurant offers variety of food which is not to expensive (considering the restaurants in my homeland). After we ordered, the food was prepared really quickly despite of almost full restaurant. Our salmon was excellent!
They have live music (the type I don't prefer, but you only live once :).
The only not-so-good thing is that the waiters don't speak English. They say they do, but if you ask them something, they are answering you in Hungarian or German (at least our did). So is a bit difficult to understand and you are not quite sure if you will get what you have ordered.

The restaurant looks lovely & has a good atmosphere with live music.
However we were quite disappointed with our experience.
My red wine tasted like vinegar! There's only one type of red wine to choose from. Trying to make the waiter understand that it was 'corked' was difficult. In the end I just had a lemonade.
My meal of goulash was really good but my husband & daughter were disappointed with their food.
We won't go back as there are plenty of other restaurants in this area that serve better food & wine at cheaper prices.

I listened to other reviewers and tried it out - I was not disappointed. Excellent yet affordable food and very friendly staff are the best recommendation for this restaurant. I tried goulash and pork with lecso, both delicious and abundant. Unfortunately, I didn't try their pizza, but I'll be sure to do it on my next visit to Héviz.

Let me explain this funny title. The name of the restaurant is Tavirózsa, that means waterlily. Accidentally I ordered an appetizer and a main course, both accompanied with tartar sauces. Since I like tartar sauce, it wasn't a serious issue.
Tavirózsa is a very nice welcoming place, but sorry for them, at this time of the year, I was the only customer. My prediction was that maybe just the second, or the third choices would be available, but for my nicest surprise, the menu card covered the real possibilities.
Magdi was waiting on me, and I had a very nice, smiley, attentive service. That it was fast, in between these circumstances, probably pointless to mention.
My Crumbled mushroom cups with tartar sauce and rice were excellent, also my Grilled traut from Szalajka valley with potato and -what else- tartar sauce, was delicious for my taste buds and appealing to my eyes. The Badacsonyi Szürkebarát ( Grey Monk from Badacsony) was a fine choice of wine.
In Tripadvisor this restaurant listed as No 23 in Hévíz. It’s true that opinions are subjective, but if I had to rank the restaurants, Tavirózsa would be the second or the third. Római pince is the first without any question, and since I haven’t been in Teri mama’s restaurant, I can’t judge it. Magyar csárda was good, but for me, Tavirózsa was better. I couldn’t find any fault in it.
When I left this restaurant, I felt very satisfied.

Food was ok - not great, and menu quite short, but both meat and fish were nice. Service was really bad - waiters make a point of ignoring you, we had to call and wave hands to attract attention, and waiting time between courses was veeeeery looooong. It took ages to get our plates cleared, and it attracted lots of flies. I've been to much nicer restaurants around Heviz.
