An intimate and contemporary Scottish restaurant with classic French influences in the beautiful fishing village of Stein, Isle of Skye.
What a step up from our last visit. A thoroughly fine dining experience with excellent service. The change of ownership has produced a wondrous transformation from pretend to real fine dining. With the current set up this is really something to enjoy if you're in this neck of the woods. Highly highly recommended.

The Three Chimneys Restaurant is one of Scotland's most iconic restaurants, set in a stunning location beside the sea in the north west corner of the Isle of Skye. Colbost is situated on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, a wide sea loch that opens into The Minch, the narrow stretch of sea between Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The views are stunning whatever the time of year. The Three Chimneys is famous for specialising in the freshest local produce including wonderful seafood from the immediate coastal waters. the restaurant has been owned by husband and wife, Eddie and Shirley Spear. The couple bought the traditional stone-walled croft house in 1984 and developed the business into what it is today, with an amazing worldwide reputation. The Three Chimneys has won countless awards and accolades. Head Chef, Scott Davies and his Brigade of young chefs are passionate about preparing and cooking the finest local ingredients. Waitrose Good Food Guide UK Restaurant of the Year 2018.
We booked dinner for 5 friends and were not disappointed from start to finish. We had pre dinner drinks in the lounge with wonderful accompanying snacks. Dinner was superb with excellent service and great recommendations on matching wines. A very warm, friendly & relaxing atmosphere...MoreThank you Mandy W for a warm and friendly review of your evening with us. Greatly appreciated.

We are a family run business in our 30th year of trade, serving seafood and other locally grown and harvested produce, Scottish Meat and Game, craft Scottish Beers, wines and spirits. We are open from Mon-Thursday for light lunches, Sunday Lunch for a 2/3 course menu, and 7 nights a week from 6pm.
Definitely one of the best meal we've had in Scotland, and definitely an "old school" restaurants. No-fuss, high-quality, delicious traditional Scottish food (including the best Cranachan of our trip) and very good service. We had a lovely night - definitely recommended.

A high quality organic cake shop selling our own handmade organic cakes and chocolates.
Limited Seating for our Toasted Sandwich and Coffee - we called in as we were using the nearby toilets - why does a restaurant serving hot food not have an accessible WC.
Toasted Scottish Cheddar Sandwich seemed to be stringy Mozzarella and accompanied by some stale crisps - £6.00 very expensive
How can they charge London prices for a curry with rice - £17.50 would get me a curry in a very good London Indian restaurant
Might help if they used local staff

Really convenient confectioner in Dunvegan, where we were staying at The Tide B&B. The confectionery was always good, and well-priced. There is limited Seating, so, you might battle for a seat/table, but this did not impact us, as our orders were always take-aways.

Good food, friendly staff (who even directed me to a third cousin). We only stopped for coffee, but the cake selection was all we needed, and the toilets were clean.
