Mexican tortilla
The menue is Mediterranean rather than Turkish, and it is sort of weird that for a coast city the only fish served was salmon which is definitely not local. Still, fairly good food, even if not quite what I was expecting.

I ordered a range of meals with a big focus on salads and seafood. Salads were very fresh but small in size. Prawns were flavourless and watery as though they had been defrosted from a freezer. The positives were the sublime Sur red wine (see picture) and the scenery of a young couple fishing off an adjacent small wharf.

Part of the Limani Hotel right on the sea front down towards the naval museum.
Service was good and Seating area, glassed in, was excellent.
Ordered mixed messes followed by well presented Kofte meat balls and a bottle of the local wine. Cost approximately £28.
I would recommend this place

Came as part of a tour group. Meal was quickly served. The tomato and lentil soup was very nice with a hint of mint. The mixed grill was plentiful for lunch. Watermelon afterwards was refreshing. Good value as part of the Crowded House tour.

Cheese dessert is the main sweet at North Aegean part of Turkey in Canakkale and Gallipoli regions. Husmenoglu is the best one and also has other sweet dishes mostly from milk that you should definitely taste during your visit.
They are in that business since 1912 and they are the original ones,
Small store, all in house made products, fresh, healthy

If you are staying in or just passing through the city center you must go in and have a taste of this "peynir helva". Served in two fashions, well done or slightly yellow in color, its taste you will not forget.

I found this restaurant by trip adviser
and made a reservation by calling them.
everything was ok until I got to place and found that they reserved the worst place in the restaurant for me. oblicated to their chief but just got really clear lies.
waited for new place for 30 min and then just got really really rude reactions from the staff.
I told them that I will write about them.
