The locals fill this place especially on the weekend. It features all the food Nflders grew up with deliciously prepared and stupidly large portions. It's not about atmosphere, its not about fancy preparations or stunning presentation, it's just about the food.
If you want traditional fare, eat where the locals eat - eat here. It's as good as it gets.

While staying at the University in Corner Brook due to my mom was in the hospital. My first night there I order Pizza and wings because I was so tired and need something to eat. This was the worse tasting pizza and wings that I tried. My sister and brothers came in later and they did not like the pizza also. I did not call back and tell them because we had to much on our plate due to our mom was very sick. I would never get this pizza again.

Sorrento was recommended to us by staff at our respective hotel and B&B as a good place to eat - especially seafood. There actually wasn't much seafood on the menu. We shared the mussels appetizer, which was mostly cold. We waited a long time for our food and drinks. We each had a different entree and none of us cared much for them. Better to go somewhere else.

Better this time after we avoided this restaurant for years. We had a couple hours to kill in Corner Brook and ended up at Jungle Jims.We both had burgers which at 13.95 + tx and overpriced but actually were good. The big disappointment was the potato skins or crock skins they call them.Thin slices of very greasy potato skin's are served with JJ signature1.25 OZ of sour cream pre-measured in a dixie cup at 11.95 way overpriced and plain lousy. The service was ok restaurant not busy at around 2 pm but still had to ask for a coffee refill. This restaurant better pick it up a couple notches when Boston pizza opens a few blocks away

It's always nice to visit. I moved to the Avalon Peninsula more than three years ago and really miss the friendship that comes with the coffee. There are always fresh baked treats and fresh made on the spitting sandwiches. Pete and his team have continued to put their best foot forward and the customer first.

Elegant, casual dining in the heart of downtown Corner Brook, Gitanos' Restaurant serves mouthwatering dishes and tasty food for your soul. Steeped in Newfoundland tradition with hints of Old World flavors, Gitanos' welcomes you to experience unforgettable cuisine in a warm and relaxed environment. We believe in promoting local - local food, local artists, local musicians - and we want your time with us to reflect that. Our ingredients are selected fresh and local when available and our food is inspired by the land and sea around us.
Creative and Interesting options, not your standard deep fried fish and chips. Several appetizer options, and several options for mains. I noticed lobster, cod, salmon, shrimp, and mussel offerings. We had the Thai mussels, Cajun cod bites, Seafood Linguine and a delicious espresso rubbed, grilled striploin.

Newfound Sushi is a full service restaurant specializing in Japanese Fusion. Newfound Sushi Izakaya is the new addition to the restaurant. Izakaya opens at 4pm and serves food until 9pm Tuesday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday food is served until 11pm. We offer nine beers on tap, from local to international. Many of our menu items are tapas style food with shared plates in mind. We have the largest selection of fresh seafood on the West Coast of Newfoundland. Kampai
We went here for a late Saturday lunch. There was no parking available in their small lot so we parked in a nearby construction lot. Although we were seated immediately we waited a long time for our drink order to be taken and another long wait for our meal order to be taken. After 90 minutes since sitting we finally had to ask them to pack our meal to go. We were disappointed with the sushi when we finally got to eat it. It was not even equivalent to what you can buy at the local grocery store deli (they didn't even give us soya sauce!) and at least double the price. We won't be returning.

Stopped in for brunch while traveling the area for work. Breakfast Croissant was delicious, latte was good too. Overall great for a quick stop. Only thing to note was there was no music playing and no atmosphere to speak of. They could use a few comfy chairs as the bench I sat one felt like a church pew. Overall would rate an 8 out of 10.

Recently visited for an evening out with friends and this is definitely the place to go for great food, excellent service and a bang got your buck. You can sit back and relax in a better cozy atmosphere all the while having great conversation over a a cold Rickards White or a fine glass of Merlot.
