Nice modern design of the physical plant. The interior is open and airy and most unlike Libraries of yesteryear. The upstairs area has a great spot for kids to play and is a destination in and of itself if one needs a break in other activities while in the downtown core. Well thought out and very engaging space.

Went there when the remnants of Hurricane Harvey passed through. Very muddy but the wind was incredible. Definitely worth the trip and the hike. Free to get in. Take a good pair of hiking shoes though. Bring your camera and keep dogs on leash. Its worth the drive. Only thing worth noting is there is only 1 outhouse along the way and no electric or running water facilities

Ok.. there is no reason to miss Peggys cove. Great spots for photos and really scenic. The restaurants are a tad touristy and over priced, but it isnt filled with McDonalds and commercial crap like towns in the USA.
This is what Cap Cod should have become.

Conveniently located just a short walk from the Hampton Inn at Dartmouth Crossing. We were delighted to be able to walk over and enjoy a morning walk before heading to airport for long flight home. Well maintained paths. Interpretive signs in a few places.

This is one of our favourite spots to catch some sun, breath in ocean air and enjoy amazing views. It's perfect for long relaxing walks. Great for everyone from young families with young children and pet owners to photographers looking for the great shot. It's obvious people thoroughly enjoy themselves here. May even be fortunate enough to see kite surfers doing their amazing athletic feats putting on a free show. If you haven't been its for sure worth the visit. Lots of parking as well.

This beautiful Victorian-inspired garden has been open to the public since 1875 and remains as one of Halifax's most beautiful and cherished sites.
Went to Canada on holiday, last stop was Halifax. It's a treasure of a find, the Gardens were so tranquil and we were there in October so the Autumn colours were just appearing the golden and red hues were so beautiful. Very peaceful Gardens with a reminder of the part played by Halifax attempting to rescue Titanic victims .

After we left Peggy's Cove and on our way to Hubbard, we stopped at the Memorial. It is only about a half mile from Peggy's Cover and is worth spending a little time there. It is very touching and a beautiful memorial to the people who lost their lives in the crash.

It is my favourite place because it has everything. It is very accessible for out of owners or tourists.

First rate entertainment! We were only expecting military and pipe bands but were entertained with so much more. There was a group of kids on motorcycles from the UK, an aerial artist, first rate singers, and an amazing German group playing music on garbage cans. The number of pipers from Nova Scotia and Australia were amazing. The tributes to the 10th Anniversary of the Halifax Explosion and the Battle of Vimy Ridge were very moving. The Navy Band with the Advanced Boarding Party demonstration were the best. Will definitely go see it again in future years.

William E. deGarthe carved this "lasting monument to Nova Scotian fisherman" on a 100 foot long granite outcropping. The sculpture shows 32 fishermen, their wives and children, St. Elmo with wings spread, and the legendary Peggy of Peggy's Cove.
