Our light battered whole fish halibut, cod, haddock, and fresh cut fries are said to be the best in town.
We split a 2 piece halibut and one chip with 2 side coleslaws. We ate in. It was fairly busy on a Friday night with people eating in and take-outs.
OMG, they have the best tasting, not greasy battered Halibut. The batter light tasting, crispy with thick fresh piece of Halibut. Delicious and portion size is generous. Love the coleslaw, not overdressed, too sweet or vinegar. They split the order into 2 plates without asking, which was appreciated so that we didn't have too. Everything was cooked perfectly, and very hot.
Been here many times, prices are reasonable, service great. The only place I will every go to for Halibut and Chips in Durham Region/Clarington.
Never disappoints, just deliciousness.

We visited Chanterelle as a group of five. The waitress was perfectly polite, friendly and fast. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and all remarked that we would like to return.
The location was well maintained and spotlessly clean.
Every staff member I spoke to was polite and friendly and the food was perfect, well presented and delicious.
Thank you all

Have just moved to Canada, and loving it, apart from the coffee situation.
I've been looking for a good cappuccino and some friendly Canadian service. Unfortunately found neither here. My first rude Canadians at the counter, Brusque service would have been an improvement. Four unfriendly and frankly inhospitable. Even if the coffee had. Even good, it would have been soured by the attitude.
Soup was nice, and other offerings looked good, other customers didn't seem unhappy with their food.
I might give it another go later, but honestly will probably head up the road to Toast and Walnut for a more pleasant and hopefully tastier experience.

Very good food at very good value. Very buy restaurant and sometimes a waiting time at dinner hour. Good variety of specials. Large portions and usually have leftovers to carry out. Atmosphere is a little loud. The later at night the louder it gets!!! Go early if you want a quieter meal.

My daughter and I came here for lunch. The food was amazing we both had one of the soups of the day which was tomato basil. It was really good and full of flavour. The portion size was very generous and filling. I also had a roasted red pepper panini and my daughter had the club house stack. They were both really good but our favourite was the roasted red pepper panini. The waitress was very friendly as well as the rest of the staff. I will definitely return for lunch in the near future.

This place is great! They have an amazing selection of teas, and the girls who work here know a lot about it. Very helpful and friendly.
I've eaten there before as well and found out they make everything from scratch! Their soups, the honey roasted soy beans and even their salad dressing. Mm.

Been visiting here for a number of years now. Feels like home. Always friendly service from the waitresses. Sam is one of our favourite waitresses she remembers every detail and is a big asset to the restaurant. Owner is very friendly too !! Great little place.
