Domingos creates a wonderful experience with amazing food! He only seats 9 people for dinner so get there about 20 minutes before to get a spot in line. He will guide you through the menu and make suggestions (trust him). Our group shared the baked cheese, mushrooms and ham to start. If you want fish, absolutely go for the sea bass- it was incredible. You sit around the bar so get to chat with the other guests and Domingos as he prepares your food creating a unique and personal experience. It was such a fun night, absolutely worth the short wait!

In an little street near the Roman Temple you find this exquisite place. Great charming reception by Joao, who lets women’s hearts melt. You cannot choose, you eat what Joao and his father have decided. Great advantage: super fresh food and perfect quality. The portions are nearly too much. Wine is good. The place is small, but made it -also thanks to Joao- an unforgettable experience. Do go there, you will not regret it.

Nice small place, decorated with taste and in rustic manner.
We had Carne de Alguidar and some fried chicken, aside of other stuff. All were very tasty. But the food is heavy, with a lot of fat. One needs to be careful about that.
The restaurant is not located in Elvas, but some 15-20 kilometers in the nearby village.
Modest pricing.

Praise there is aplenty for Come Prima, one of Lisbons best-loved traditional Italian restaurants. Being a bit tucked away on Rua Olival, an easy walk from the romantic Tapada das Necessidades Gardens, is part of the restaurants considerable charm. A reassuringly cosy atmosphere, lovely lighting, wooden tables and chairs and friendly staff - Come Prima hits all the right notes. Expect wonderfully simple Italian classics - tomato soup to tiramisu - freshly prepared with skill and care. Some diners have said the pasta and pizza are the best theyve ever had. Whats certain is Come Prima hand-make their pasta fresh, and bake their pizzas to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Nice wine list, too. Ask for a table upstairs where its cosiest.
Very nice even if you come alone. Full house and at least three tables were solo/one only, which makes you feel normal in a restaurant in Portugal which are used to groups. Waiters are ok. Should care more about those alone making suggestions but overall they are very efficient. I went for the house speciality - the starter Funghi Ripieni not brilliant so choose something else, but the burrata & tartufo nero pizza was excellent ... be ready for a saucy pizza (the cheese is very “melty”). Wine by glass is not that good option. If you come by your self try porto Tonic instead or go for the beer. Kids love pizza but I would not recommend this restaurant.. They offered Limoncello at the end... Wow... makes a difference. #byHPink

They have a very large menu and the price/quality ratio was nice.
My wife had the arroz de marisco en the dish was very fresh and LARGE.
I had the costeleta de novilho and the meat was to large for the plate, and the quality was very good.
The service was also excellent, when we ordered the wine the waiter let us try several bottles so we could choose one, and at the end of the meal he put 4 bottles of local brandy and aguardente on the table to let us choose.

More than 150 wines by the glass. Port wine flights. One of the best selections of portuguese cheeses, and charcuterie, combined in mixed boards. Handmade canned fish delights. Rare and old Port and Madeira wines collection, also by the glass.

Please note: this is a small and informal traditional wine bar with tapas of cheese and charcuterie that does NOT have any cooked meals; opens around 6pm and starts closing at 11pm, therefore the options breakfast/brunch and late night do not apply; closes on Mondays. Thank you.
Advance booking essential - if you are a walk in customer, you are likely to be disappointed!
If you've made your booking, then prepare to experience a truly original and enjoyable evening with superb hosts who are knowledgeable and friendly, with a great selection of wines and a tasty selection of small plates to compliment the wine.
The hosts are at pains to point out that this is a wine bar primarily, not a restaurant, so please don't judge it on the basis of your food experience (but what is served is more than acceptable!) - but as an experience for lovers of wine it is unmatched!

Nannarella was a good surprise. The gelatos aren't expensive and they taste really good, with real flavors. There's usually a line, however, the employees are fast and eficiente. The upside is that they don't offer sitting spots. Some of the flavors are specific to some week days. The location is also very good, next to Assembleia da República (São Bento) and Príncipe Real

This small family restaurant is well worth the visit. The husband and wife team cook and host perfectly in their small, intimate restaurant.
It ain’t fancy but the food is excellent, freshly caught fish from the mornings market, prepared and seasoned simply cooked perfectly and served without fuss.
Can’t beat it. Better food than I have had in restaurants charging ten times as much.
6 people, two courses, plenty of wine - less than 150 euro. The very charming host wouldn’t allow me to add a tip, telling me that it is most important for his customers to enjoy their evening and have great food at great value. He’s a saint and deserves to earn more !

We had no expectations when we stopped in Augusto's for a quick lunch, and were blown away by the quality of the food and service in this simple little café. The meat and cheese plates were delicious, and the homemade ice-cream was amazing! The staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Augusto's was a great find and we would definitely visit again!
