Had heard so much about the temple so we had made a gir diu Somnath Dwarka itinery. Though not religious but love the old architecture in addition to seeing the Lord. Well you have to deposit all leather items, mobile and cameras and then go for darshan. Not much crowd during our visit maybe it was exam times hence it easy to get darshan and attend aarti. Place is clean and regulated so those issues don't exist.

I visit this place since childhood. Every time I found a new dimension. Gold plated stones catches more attractions than deity. Huge template, beautiful Architecture and full security. It is really fun to walk from distance to get far view of the temple.
Keep leather and metal accessories in the locars near VIP parking area as such products are not allowed inside the temple.

This is the place where Lord Krishna was hit by a hunter. This incident also marked as the end of Dwapar yug. Krishna was hit by a poisonous arrow and Krishna left the body to mark the end of his avatar.
There is a temple of Krishna here and it depicts the above incident.

Somnath temple is great and very crowded. The sculpture is unique. The location of the temple further makes it very attractive and frequented spot. After the temple visit, tourists can enjoy the sea around by spending some time. Veraval is a good place for hotel stay for visit to Somnath as it provides better food and choice plus its well connected to the place.

Triveni sangam is believed to be a very sacred place(ghat) for Hindus. The holy ghat is located at the point of confluence of three rivers namely Hiran, Kapila and Saraswati meet at this point with the sea. People believe that a dip in the river at this holy ghat makes one's body clean & removes all sins committed by him/her in his/her life. The Gita Temple and Laxminarayan Temple are located on the site of the holy ghat. It is considered to be the place where Lord Krishna was cremated. Watched hundreds of white birds at this holy ghat.
