Ludhiana is a city and a municipal corporation in Ludhiana district in the Indian state of Punjab, and India's largest city north of Delhi, with an area of 310sq. km and an estimated population of 1,618,879 as of the 2011 census. The population increases substantially during the harvesting season due to the migration of labourers from highly populated states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha. The city stands on the Sutlej River's old bank, 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) south of its present course. It is an industrial centre of northern India; the BBC has called it India's Manchester.

As the name suggests, Colonel's Cabin was started by an Army Veteran many years ago, it is next to famous Pakhowal Road and not far from Sarabha Nagar, Feroze Gandhi Market, Gurdev Nagar and Model Town.
Good variety of veg and non-veg food is served here. It provides nice ambiance with air conditioned comfort.
Recommended for a family outing.

Please come ever and enjoy food here. Mussels are full ot omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, iron, vitamin B12, and of course, protein. Fifteen of the tasty crustaceans have as much protein as six ounces of steak. Shrimp add an extra dose of the belly-filling power nutrient, as well as selenium, phosphorous, iodine, choline, and copper.

This place has been around for tens of years now and still serves good food which is completely value for money. If you like Punjabi Pasta then no place better than Hot Breads. They also have a decent Sizzler and very good assortment of Doughnuts. Lots to choose from in the menu ranging from Indian to Chinese to Italian to Continental to Bakery items.

Well to begin with , the place is too cramped and the tables are so close that one can very well hear the conversation on the adjoining tables , see the adjascent MENU and look whats on the other tables . If that's on the top of the agenda , then ENJOY !!
There s live singer who sings really well , amidst total noise all around !!!
The food is signature food and is good .
But then Ludhiana is famous and full of places well known for Punjabi Food and this joint really doesn't stand out among them.

This place primarily serves North Indian food but also has good options in Chinese and Continental as well. I especially love their starters and sizzler. In fact you can order any of their appetizers and you won't be disappointed. Service is prompt but make sure you book a table in advance on weekends. Decor is good. And the place is value for money.

The restaurant is located in Model Town area under the flyover. Its a delight to eat in this restaurant. Every dish from Panner butter malasa to Methi Paneer to Dal Makhani is so delicious. The Food is worth every penny. Although it serves a terrific food the ambience is really average but they make up with their price and hospitality and service. Every person visiting Ludhiana should visit Rishi da Dhaba atleast once.

Bistro Flamme Bois is a contemporary yet laid back Bistro serving multi cuisines such as Italian, Mexican, French, Chinese and Indian. Its has not been made as a restaurant but a place where one can just relax, have a good meal in a very comfortable and a cozy environment. For the owners of this restaurant, its not business but a passion which can be very well seen with the amount of time and effort they devote towards this place.
I visited this place on 26/02. Location is good. As soon as i entered this place, i was impressed. Simple yet attractive interiors. Wide range of food. Menu us full of options. I went simple and ordered veg pizza and veg alfredo pasta. Service was quick and good and pizza and pasta both were stunning to say the least. Pizza, best i had in last many years. Crisp, lots of fresh cheese and toppings. Wow is the word. After this i ordered dahi k kebab and they were also fine, not as great as pizza though. May b dahi k kebab of pind baluchi has spoiled me. Kebab were not crisp but they were fine and can be given 7 on 10. Piza and pasta were surely 10 on 10. Service and location again 10.
So overall 5 star for this amazing place.
Will surely visit again when im in Ludhiana next.

We have visited this place so many times. I wasn't knowing so many varieties of ice creams. but when i visited this place I came to know all. Basant was a big hit chain for ice Cream parlours only. I have been eating their ice creams since my childhood. Thereafter they also opened family restaurants inside. The best meal they serve. Good service. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I always have manchow soup as my starter, which I find best. The veg food from main course is really exquisite. But sometimes you have to wait for your turn to sit on dining table due to heavy rush. Overall it is the best place for a family for lunch or dinner.

Out of this need, to introduce Ludhiana to international flavours, in fresh and different environs, came Bistro226. Being the first world cuisine restaurant in the city we offer food from every habitable continent of our wonderful planet. Which gives great options to our patrons, who can come to one place where one can order Rogan Josh, Goulash or Jamaican Lamb stew. While trying to steer clear of cliched dishes like Manchurian & Chilly Chicken, we try to accommodate every taste on our menu. Since food is a passion for us, we are always experimenting with new ingredients, Quinoa, Wild Rice, Wild Mushrooms (we have 5 varieties in your kitchen, feel free to ask us add some to your favourite creamy mushroom pasta or risotto). Pomegranate syrup is used to give Lamb Fesenjan its authentic Persian flavour. And we believe that a Pesto is not a Pesto Genovese unless it has Pinenuts in it, and the food we serve is a reflection of this belief and passion. Ambience of the restaurant is an integral part of the dining experience; we have tried to keep the layout sparse and open. There are three Seating options for our patrons to choose from. The main Restaurant hall which has sofa and cushioned chairs as the choices, The Deck & Terrace which is a semi open area with colonial style cane furniture, and of course alfresco or open area, with its rustic hardwood furniture. Plants have a very prominent place in the restaurant with every available space having plants in it; there is not one seat in the whole restaurant from where you can’t see a plant! We also believe that good food needs to be paired with good wine. From French Champagne to a crisp Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc and of course some award winning Indian wines we try to keep our cellar stocked with the best wines available. Along with an Excellent selection of Single Malts (we are in Whisky heartland!), beer and other spirits we also offer a great selection of cocktails to choose from.
I can see from previous review from locals are loving this place. I guess this is because of the choice international cuisine offered to locals which is difficult to get at most other restaurants in Ludhiana, also the ambience is nice inside compared to other restaurants other than your 5 star hotels like radisson and hyatt.
However the food and service is not so good. Service even though there were only 2 or 3 people eating with us at the same time the waiters were hard to get hold of and they were trying to not get your attention by looking busy or hanging in groups.
We ordered a pizza and thai red curry. The main issue here is the level of salt in the food is so high that it overpowers the actual taste of the other ingredients. The cheese is your standard indian pizza cheese. The tomato sauce base is not your plum tomato italian style, it is a typical standard indian pizza sauce which is salty. Also there waiters no nothing when you question them about the food.
The high price and the look of the place suggests it will be authentic food but it isn't. If you are from the west and have eaten this food over there which is authentic you can tell when you eat here they are just taking the rich locals for a ride to get their money.
