Palace has been restored after the French destroyed it. The stucco and tile work in the interior is incredible. There was an exhibition of exquisite women's period costumes in the Palace. Beautifully displayed. Excellent view overlooking the city from the fortress. One can easily spend an hour going through the complex.

Definitely worth the detour: all the area (in the mountain) is beautiful and naturally relaxing (when not crowded) No guide available, but that was ok for us.

A famous shrine of a marabout who used to be a spiritual guide a hundred years ago. Finding it is a bit difficult because it's situated in the oldest Muslim suburb, high above the city. Parking can be either above it or down. Then you'll have to walk some meters. Use google earth to get an idea.

Worth visit - altough the place is actually very small, surrounded with the ruins of walls, which reminds of its magnificency. Still the minaret is very beautiful and interesting.. You can see it from quite distance, as it reaches almost 38 m.. Very nice

This is a pretty mosque which is worth a visit whilst in Tlemcen town. Photos are discouraged inside the mosque, but you can probably get a few pics of the entrance without causing too much offence. Women can enter provided appropriate head coverings are worn.

Natural site, very nice view, moderately maintained(partially poor). There is bridge below the Waterfalls built more than 100 years before but not accessible. Easy parking. 6 km from downtown.
