To start your visit go early and picnic in the beautiful picnic area we chose a perfect day warm and sunny, then went in to the theatre and what a fantastic performance that was.
I still find it hard to believe that they are all amateurs, they were all amazing.

Designed in 1754, these graceful serpentine Gardens feature a gothic greenhouse, stables, and a picturesque summerhouse beside a scenic lake.
Walked the grounds of Burghley park in December. Lovely rexling stroll. Visited the Christmas shops. Very impressive and great customer service. Set us up nicely for Christmas. Made a date in my diary for this year. If in area worth a visit. Free car parking. Good for dog walkers.

This historic Elizabethan house (circa 1587) features a serpentine park that was designed by Lancelot Brown and a gothic greenhouse and stables.
A dream realised in visiting Burghley House. We did the self-paced audio tour of public rooms and were stunned at the beauty and opulence of this grand old house. A step back in time to visit the massive old kitchen, the state bedrooms and grand dining hall.

Used the public toilet here - clean but lots of steps to climb down. The tourism place seemed good and the cafe was busy. Took a look at the art exhibition but wasn't impressed.I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed, I hope you have been back since though. We do change Exhibitions on a regular basis and try to keep it varied. Your comments are valued and I thank you for leaving a review.

Never visited this theatre before but came to see Joel Dommett (who as it happens was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!) Quaint little theatre with seats on a very steep rake so good views no matter where you sit. Leg room not bad and comfy seats. Would definitely come again as the prices were very reasonable. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

This is a small display based around a tapestry showing places and people of Stamford. Thirty minutes well spent.

One of five medieval parish churches in the centre of Britain's first conservation area, All Saints' Church is living history, still in daily use for the worship of God in Christ and for celebrating the life-events of Stamford people. The building is normally open for visitors for sight-seeing, prayer or just quiet reflection between about 08:00 and 17:15 on weekdays, 09:00 and 17:15 on Saturdays, 07:30 and 19:00 on Sundays, but please be aware that changes are sometimes necessary and that services and other events can preclude casual visiting from time to time - a calendar is available on our website. Please to do not post mail to the address of the church: there is no letterbox!
Stamford has five medieval churches all worth a visit. So pleased to see them open to either look round or a place of solace for quiet reflection!Thank you for your comments. We try to be available for visitors, for what ever reason they come, as part of our Mission. I am so glad you found your visit to us and our neighbours rewarding.

Featuring 80 of the world’s top competitors, the annual Burghley Horse Trials is one of the UK’s top ten sporting events, and boasts a spectacular setting amongst picturesque Elizabethan parkland. Here, dressage, cross country and show jumping competitions combine to create a spectacular four-day equestrian extravaganza, and former winners include everyone from European Champions to members of the Royal Family. Grab your seats in the grandstands and help to cheer your favourite fillies on to victory!
No ides how many times I have ben to Burghley Horse Trials. Its now a very expensive day/weekend and I wonder how long it can continue adding cost with no additional value from a spectators point of view.
The weather was perfect. Organisation of everything was spot on. Toilets were cleaned frequently.
The cost of snacks and beverages was silly. £4 for a normal coffee in some places! And another selling sandwiches for £7.50!! Best to take a picnic.
Too few tack shops and too many shops selling things best found in Park Lane.

Small centre but friendly staff, went in for town trail, was sold a guide book of Stamford but the guided walk suggested in the book was confusing and we gave up in the end, There is a coffee shop and toilets in the building.

This place is beautiful, and the best part about it, is the actual occupants maintain the place and provide all the tours. There is a history here, and it is well worth the visit to have a look around. The occupants are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of Browns. The Gardens are not allowed to be accessed as they are private, but a tour will be provided of the main building. Always leave a donation, as this is pretty much run by the people who live there..
