FlyTime Paragliding offers tandem flights for only R 750.00, in-flight photos and video, introduction and full license courses, tours, equipment sales and hire. Based in Sedgefield, the heart of the Garden Route, between Wilderness and Knysna. Come fly with us!
Give yourselves at least 3 days in the area as weather conditions may require that you do not fly on the excat day you plan for. Lucille was excellent at communicating the conditions with us. My wife and I met them at the Sedgefield launch site and they where very professional. They handled all the saftey aspects and within a couple of minutes we were in the air and floating around the hill top where we launch from. You get a beautfiful 360 view of the area and it is a very beautiful and relaxing experience. The tandem masters where also great conversation when we were up there. I would highly recommend this company! It is a super fun and safe activity for a honeymoon even if you are not an adrenaline junky.

We love Gerickers Point, the long walk to those wonderful rock pool at low tide - been doing this since I was a child- or simply strolling along this unspoiled beach gives me inner sole an energy infusion! Unfortunately we are the recipient of the world of plastic junk - please take a bag when you enjoy this majesty piece of coastline to help elevate the increasing deluge of worldly waste!

Wild Oats is a local farmers and food market open every Saturday morning until 12 noon. We are located on the western outskirts of Sedgefield at the turnoff to Sedgefield Island. An award winning Garden Route landmark we are not to be confused with the Scarab Craft Market to the far east of Engen Petrol Station or the Mosaic Flea Market across the road from Wild Oats. As a food market, our open times are limited due to the short shelf-life of many of our LOCALLY PRODUCED products which include: Free-range chicken, beef, pork and lamb, free-range eggs, multiple cheese, dairy and baked products including fresh gouda, Cheddar, blue-cheeses... milk, fresh fish, fruits, free-range & organic vegetables in season, many traditional and exotic bottled goods, organic olives, berries, rusks, koeksisters, biltong & wors, famous artisan breads, award-winning cheesecakes and goats cheeses... and on and on and on. Also a fabulous range of hot-off-the-grill breakfasts, coffees, teas and fresh-squeeze juices and smoothies. FOOD HEAVEN! Come face-to-face with our local food producers every Saturday morning, come rain or shine.
The market hosts a huge variety of products. On a hunch I stopped to look for Sauerkraut and not only found it, but found Kimchi as well as a wide variety of other probiotic foods. Many fresh veggies, fruits and lovely prepared foods are found as well. The atmosphere is festive with live Performances.

The market takes place every Saturday. Wonderful crafts to be bought at reasonable prices particularly if you are looking for gifts, as there is something for everyone, from children's toys to handmade soaps, clothes, beautiful handmade jewellery, wooden articles, wool. There is a fun atmosphere with plenty to eat and live music. I always enjoy going there. Have fun!!

Virtually home made beer. They offer a free tasting of their seven different beers. Tasting is fast and furious like a sausage factory, but on the other hand one can soon discover likes and dislikes. The blonde really tastes good. In the others various flavors can be deserned. Single beers can be bought and there are tables and chairs in and out doors to relax and enjoy. Beers are reasonably priced at R30.

Mosaic Village in Sedgefield is a tourist focused business comprising of the Outdoor Market and the Village. There is a play area for the kids and comfortable Seating in the food court. Secure parking and Free WiFi is available to our guests. The Village is an all week attraction with Glass Roots, Mugnificent Coffee, Indoor Decor, Sport & Music Memorabilia, El Capones Collectables, The Main Bazaar and Collections as attractions. There is always such a pleasant vibe at this market - found between the Wild Oats market and the Scarab craft market. Recent improvements are the larger Seating area with wooden tables and chairs ( under shade, too!) so that you can have a comfortable perch as you enjoy breakfast. There are a few new stalls but the regulars are tremendous - I especially like the educational book stall where you can buy new books at greatly discounted prices!

This dog-friendly beach which is adjacent to Myoli beach and which also has its own access stairway between the houses perched above the beach, stretches for about 2 km's all the way along and around the headland to the beginning of the Goukamma nature reserve which is accessed from Lake Pleasant 5km to the north of Sedgefield. It is a fairly straight multi-coloured sandy beach with small sandstone rocks in places and its well-known fossilized golden sandstone high cliffs overlooking the beach. The wavy patterns which are visible high up on tyhe cliffs make for wonderful photo opportunities.
This is one of the most spectacular Beaches one will find in South Africa, especially as far as accessible Beaches within ten minutes of a nearby town are concerned.

A little way off the main road, and over the railway line, one can find the gravel road which winds up the hill to this lovely look out point. It is not signposted, so it is best to plan the route in advance or get directions from the information centre. From here, one is feasted with spectacular views of Sedgefield and if it's not a misty day, you can see watch the para-gliders in action.

Even if you are not all that interested in cars from bygone eras, this place holds an appeal. There are many various cars which have been beautifully restored. Be advised to check the operating hours as they do close earlier on a Saturday.
