Lovely place to wander around and take photos. The information centre in the middle of the town square provides lots of information about the history of the old buildings. There are plaques giving further details on individual buildings and the church and bell tower are well worth visiting too. There is a little land train that runs regularly from the square into Poprad central that is fun to ride too.

It is just paradice as it is in it's name. Beautifull nature, I recommend to start early in the morning, around 7:00, to enjoy the nature without many people. I am returning there for 15 years, and it is definitelly worth it :).

A beautiful church set in the heart of Poprad, it shows the marks of an amazing history and was a delight to be married in (a childhood fantasy of my wife), and the amazing people of this beautiful city made this English man feel at home.

If you stay in Tatras and you want to spend a day with other activities than hiking, or if the weather is not favorable to go to the Mountains, Poprad, the main city under the hills is a good choice - it is easily accessible by Tatra electric railway and apart from visiting main square and shopping area at namestie sv. Egidia, Aqua Park or medieval urban reserve at Spisska Sobota, you can also go to Tatra Gallery, located in the very interesting building of former steam power station, just across from the Poprad railway station. Tatra Gallery features a permanent exhibition of art by prominent Slovak artists (including renowned artists like Albin Brunovsky, Ludovit Fulla and other), mainly those tied with eastern Slovakia and Tatra region and varying thematic Exhibitions, often focused on modern art. The gallery also has a small branch in Stary Smokovec - Villa Flora, where Exhibitions focus mainly on paintings and photography of Tatra Mountains.

Very nice, small, modern square. In summer months tourist train. Many places to have some drink or eat something. There are many Concerts and another programmes through the summer on this square. Rarity is the beer pub with big barrel of beer outdoor. There is also small children playground here. There are 2 historical churches here.

The best tourist information office, I have seen in Slovakia so far !
Like any other information centers in Slovakia, this one too, operates as a souvenir shop as well, but the guy that works there, is very pleasant and happy to assist you.
Great information about the town and the whole area too.
