Pondicherry’s bougainvilleas, crumbling cathedrals and leafy boulevards might occasionally make you wonder if you’re in the south of France instead of a former French colony. But it's also unmistakably Indian, with colorful festivals, the famous monument of Aayi Mandapam, and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Quiet beaches stretch north and south from town, good for swimming and sunrise strolls.

Temple of the cleanest temple i visited in last few years. Wall and Ceiling murals are excellent. Laxmi, the she elephant at the entrance needs some time off. Spare her some privacy.

The rocky beach in Pondicherry is a long stretch of beach along the beach side road. The place is very eventful especially on weekends with a multitude of activities taking place. The scene changes from morning to evening. In the morning it is all about the health conscious morning walkers , the fish catching boats and the magnanimous sunrise. In the evening there are hawkers, families, exhibition and music. There is something for every age group to be excited about the Rocky beach.

The Seaside Promenade parallels the mad-made rock shoreline. It is a pleasant escape from the city traffic and noise, but our experience was marred by the casual way the locals walk down to the rocks and throw their plastic bags filled with rubbish into the ocean. It may be India but it doesn't have to be that way!

It’s a very huge and beautiful church. I like the architecture of the church, since it was Christmas so the decoration was there and it was awesome. Must visit place.

It is an old French Church built in memory of French soldiers. There are huge 3D pictures of the Stations of the Cross. The side altars too have huge statues. It will leave you in awe. There is a staircase by which people can go upstairs and hear mass from the first floor.
The place is peaceful, very clean and well maintained.

Just a short, quick visit and nothing more. It is peaceful and located pretty much centrally. It will give you peace like any other place of worship.

Nice place to visit in Puducherry. Its very peaceful, neat and clean with white sand. The surrounding developed nicely on the theme of Maldives or Mauritius. The only disadvantage of its location as the fare of ferry to reach there is quite costly so everyone cant go there..

We had visited this temple on 2nd October 2017. It was 5 minutes walk from our hotel Shenbaga. We were at this temple in the evening time. At that time new flowers & garlands were being put on the deity and aarti was taking place. This is a Vishnu temple popularly known as Perumal in South India. Very nice temple. There was no crowd during this time. We stayed for around 15-20 minutes inside the temple and enjoyed the evening. Not to be missed during Pondy visit.

Going there feels like watch stops ticking. You need to maintain peace and quiet as nobody speaks there. Your actions speak. There is a small book Shop. You can purchase souvenir from there. Spend some time there you will forget the tensions of the world.
