The attractions here are the glass bottom boats and underwater Observatory tower, in addition to the beautiful views.
The kiddo enjoyed the underwater Observatory tower but dreaded the glass bottom boat probably due to the choppy seas.
We came in the early morning after Reading the forecast that thunderstorm rain will come after 11am that day, this after a full day heavy thunderstorm rain the previous day.
A shuttle bus ferrying you to the drop off points for the glass bottom boat and underwater Observatory tower, runs every twenty minutes and save you the hassle of walking there. Should you decide to walk instead, the walk from ticket office to glass bottom boat should take 10 minutes thereabout while another 5 minutes to the underwater tower.

This tour was a highlight of my visit to Okinawa. You get close up encounters with so many animals!! I stood right next to a peacock with its feathers fanned and hand fed a little wallaby. Very enjoyable. I visited in July 2015.

Warumi Ohashi is a new bridge in the north part of Okinawa. Sometimes I go drive with my wife on the way to Kouri Island. There are one more great bridge near here which is Kouri Ohashi. You can see the great view from both bridge.

There is no place like home...Yagaji island is one of the prettiest places on earth not mentioning the hospitality you will receive from the locals. You will want to visit this little island and enjoy the simple things which life has to offer. This place makes you wonder and question your being....enjoy the visit!!

This is the beach that Marriott provides regular shuttle bus to. The area cordoned off is really not suitable for swimming as the water is only knee high. It's more suitable for kids playing with water. I don't know why they need lifeguards there. There is no admission charge for the beach but there's a fee for use of the umbrellas.

Why would anyone build such a monstrosity in a place like Nago? The Brutalist style of architecture has no place in this sleepy beach community (in my opinion). It is dark and foreboding. The interior is that of a typical government office with low ceilings and lots of fluorescent lighting. If you have 5-10 minutes to spare while in Nago, maybe it’s worth your time. Otherwise, there are lots of other things to do/see to keep you occupied.

If you are looking for a beach that doesn't get overcrowded during the summer months, this is a good one to visit. Showers and restrooms are available and it is only a short walk from places you can eat at or, buy drinks. Parking is free and, close to the water and there are some trees providing shade nearby.

Pleasant park right along the ocean. Interesting stone Amphitheater which opens to the sea. Paved pathways throughout. Lots of green lawns and trees that offer shade on a sunny day. Mid-week, people from teenagers playing baseball to seniors practicing their golf swing were utilizing the park. Plenty of parking and good restroom facilities.
