We visited the Hoch Imst alpine coaster in Sept 2017. There are three options for purchase: single ticket, triple ticket and 10-ride ticket. Given how long the ride takes and the lines (depending on the time of the year), 10 rides may be impractical. I bought a triple-ride ticket and then a single-ride ticket. CAUTION: make sure you buy the "ticket + lift", not just ride "ticket". This is a ski course, so you need the ski lift to get to the starting point. The ski lift takes 15 minutes or more, so imagine how long it would take to hike up to the top!!
The ride is 3.5-km long (2 1/4-mile long) track, so it is the longest alpine coaster in the world. You determine your speed, so the ride can take as long or as short as you want it too. Be very careful though of people in front of you who are going slowly. For two of my four rides, I had slow people in front of me, so I had to keep braking, which ruined the "thrill" of the ride for those two times. Per the rules, you need to keep at least 25 meters (about 25 yards) between you and the car in front of you. There are signs everywhere stating "Abstand halten" ("maintain your distance"). In addition, when entering a curve, there are signs saying "Bremsen" ("brake").
The carts can seat one or two people. The taller person has to sit in back. The cars have a seat belt for each of the two passengers. In addition, the employee who sends you off is bilingual (German/English), as well as most of the signage.
On the day when we went, there weren't too many people and the weather was very nice. Since this is a ski resort, there was also Segway riding, a trampoline-jumping ride, mountain biking track, ski lift, skiing (in winter), snowboarding and hiking. There was a soft ice cream stand and a bar with some hot food there too. There is a hotel there, which I believe had a restaurant.
Be careful if you are using GPS to get to the place since our GPS navigation did not seem to fully know where the address was.
We found the run exhilarating and well worth the money spent.

My husband and I visited the Starkenberger Brewery and Beer Mythos museum specifically because we wanted to try the beer pools. This was an experience that was on our bucket list for years and now I'm happy to be able to spread the word about how much fun this experience is.
For 250 euros and an advance reservation, you and up to three people can spend up to five hours swimming in a big vat that used to be used for brewing beer. Thanks to the modernization of the brewing process, the big vats are now obsolete. Someone came up with the bright idea to turn the former vats into beer pools. They added some very fun art to the walls and all the beer you can drink during your "beer bath".
My husband and I arrived a bit early because we wanted to visit the museum. It was lucky that we got there, since somehow our reservation got lost. However, the very helpful shopkeeper arranged for us to have our beer pool appointment, which began after 5:00pm, since that is when the self-guided brewery tours end. We were pretty much given the run of the beer pool area until 10:00, when the brewery is locked up for the night. The pool is pretty deep. I'm 5'2", and the water came up to my chin.
Included in the price is the use of the showers and an infrared sauna. Towels, robes, and slippers are available. We brought our own. I wish we had brought soap and shampoo, but we didn't realize there were showers.
My husband and I had a wonderful, unforgettable, amazing evening in the beer pool. Yes, it's pricey, but it was so worth it. Of course, now all the other beer spas kind of pale in comparison. Our beer pool experience was the most fun I've had in a long while!
The beer mythos museum and shop are also well worth a visit. There's also a restaurant, though we didn't get to try it because Monday is their "free day". If you like beer tourism, this is an experience that belongs on your bucket list. If you make a reservation, be sure to get a confirmation and print out the emails just in case!

AREA 47 - The Ultimate Outdoor PlaygroundNature and high-tech combined to an extraordinary recreational experience for everyone. Whether outdoor adventure, event arena, water action or a stage for business incentives – the location at the 47th Latitude between HAIMING, Sautens and ROPPEN leaves nothing to be desired.
We arrived on the last Saturday in July at 12, the park was packed with a long queue. All activities were booked out.We decided to return the following Tuesday which the staff said was quieter and it was.
That meant 5 minute waits for the blobbing and practically no waiting for anything else. Our kids did the flying fox (300m zipline) and the climbing course under the bridge. They loved it.
The park has 3-27m (Yes 27 meters) diving boards and great slides. The water cannon shoots you 10m into the lake. There is minimal supervision on the high slides and boards so be careful with adventurous children. The water was 22 degrees which was fine. You can get and use wetsuits.
We used the on site restaurant which was fine for lunch. Great place for a day out but is looks like camping level + if you want to stay.
Book ahead for the activities.

I don't want to make a good review here, as you might all come to this lovely place which has not been discovered by the mass tourism yet and thereby excellent for a relaxing skiing holiday because of low population combined with kilometers of great ski pistes. From beginners to experts, skiing or snowboard, every level can amuse himself here and if needed lessons can be followed. Hochzeiger provides its own great snow when needed with tens of snow canons, so no worries, temperature at 2400m is always good for any snow. The snow park offers jump platforms for each expertise level from easy to expert, challenge yourself. And if you wanna take a break, foods and drinks are available at economical prices. I'll be back for sure!

If you visit Oetstal area don't miss this beautiful lake! Easy access- Few minutes from the road, parking for 4 euros (coins only!), 5 minutes walk and there you are facing the beautiful lake. Highly recommended to walk around it. There's also a restaurant and a small beach.
If you go from the right side you can reach the restaurant even with a baby stroller.
We had a beautiful calming nature morning there...

A great walk up to the Alpine coaster and Hoch-Imst but not for the faint-hearted. You will need good walking footwear and some people may need sticks. We didn't rush and took our time enjoying the scenery, geology and wildlife. Guided tours are available and the route starts at the Tourist Information office which was easy to find.

We found information about the museum at our hotel. It sounded very promising and showed a living exhihition. Arriving at the museum there were no guides around the area except in the ticket booth. The museum comprises of 7 simple buildings with short explanation in german (you can get an english folder). The most interesting part "Die Heilerin" is only open 3 times a day with guiding (11.30, 13.30, 15.30).

We were 4 people rafting for the first time and took a level3 tour. The guides where really cool and doing their job very well always keeping it safe without taking the fun out of it.
The prices are absolutely ok for what you get.
We will be back for the next level.
