Was the best train from airport to city I have ever taken. It is comfortable, easy to get to after baggage and customs. There are several options on how to pay. All great value for the ride. The train is so quiet and smooth that it is hard to tell that you are even on a train.

One of the most significant archaeological finds in the world, this 16,300-square-meter excavation reveals more than 7,000 life-size terracotta figures of warriors and horses arranged in battle formations.

The emperor had wanted to bury soldiers alive to guard him when he passed away. Some smart general advised him to bury life like terra cotta soldiers instead, and he agreed. Each terra cotta soldier has a unique look, and are 1:1 scale. It seems that concubines without children were buried alive with the emperor - no one spoke up for them.

Miki Tours

My husband and I arranged three tours with Miki during our recent visit to Shanghai. For our first day, Melody gave us a full day orientation and tour of the city. It was entertaining, we covered the Pudong, the Bund, the French Concession and Yu Gardens and the marriage market. Melody was terrific and gave us so much insight on her life in Shanghai. We then spent another day with Melody traveling to the Tongli water village followed by a lunch at Miki's tea house. The water village was fun despite our rainy weather day. We still were able to tour the village and take a small boat ride. The lunch at Miki's tea house was a highlight. Delicious foods and another wonderful conversation with Melody about the water villages, her life in China. Our third day was a bullet train trip to Hangzhou with Zoe. This was a fascinating trip - we loved the bullet train and then walking in the tea fields, strolling around the west lake and then walking through the town and seeing the herbal pharmacy. Zoe is another terrific guide and it was fun to get her perspective on her life and work in China. We would give Miki Tours a 5+++ star rating for all of their services and attention to their tours for us. I want to especially tell Zoe that she hit a "grandslam" with us!
Thank you Miki Tours- we highly recommend this company to any visitors to Shanghai.

My family of six (including two teenagers and two little boys) finished the tour with Bryan just simply amazed and impressed by his excellent in-depth knowledge. Our family has learnt a few things from the stories Bryan told us. We came across Bryan after Reading some of the reviews here and decided to give Bryan a try. I must admit the whole family including myself was a bit apprehensive about the tour at the beginning as we have not done anything like this before and didn't really know what to expect. At the end we are very glad we did reach out to Bryan. Bryan is also very prompt in replying to our emails right from the word get go. We were picked up to/from the airport and between hotel and various attractions in a mini-van which we all fit in quite comfortably. We were also impressed by how well and clean the vehicle was. Despite it was snowing/raining on the road we felt really safe all the times while we were in the vehicle.
We would recommend Bryan and his team any time without a blink of the eye. I am really glad we did choose Bryan.
Thanks Bryan and your team for showing my family and I a wonderful time in Xi'an.

Pros:
~ Easy to understand signage
~ Getting around to different places is super quick
~ Definitely recommend you look on their website to pre-plan getting to / from places before catching the train. This will save a lot of time trying to work it out at the station.
~ We spent 5days in HK and got an Octopus card from the cashier, note 1 card per person. We paid $150 HKD each and it lasted around 3days before we put another $50 HKD on each card. To top up your card, its easier if you just go to the cashier to top up your card and they're always located near the entry/exist point of swiping your cards.
Cons:
~ You're travelling underground most of the time and miss out on a lot of sight seeing
~ It can get busy/squishy on the train, especially during peak hours

Star Ferry

Reviewed By Colin_777-300 - Hong Kong, China

The iconic Hong Kong Star Ferry is a must for tourists.
There is plenty of history and on a nice day the view is fantastic of both sides of the harbour. Several years ago they moved the pier in Central so unfortunately now it is a little far from Central itself so fewer locals use it in their daily commutes.
If you are going to take it, I recommend the upstairs tickets. They cost a tiny bit more money. Downstairs is special too, as you are closer to the engine room and the bridge and these are interesting but you also also closer to the diesel fumes and the view of HK itself isn’t as good.
When grabbing a seat upstairs, flip the back of the bench so that you are facing the correct direction. So many tourists don’t then wonder why they are traveling backwards!
Also think about which side of the boat you want to be on for photos and enjoy the ride!
