Enjoyed a two hour trip with family and friends. We were a large group with large people and injured people. They were able to accomodate everyone in our group and we all enjoyed the ride and staff. Thanks for a great trip!

Thanks to everyone for looking after us as soon as we arrived in Malaga. The accommodation was great and in a cracking position in the village.
The riding was even better than I had hoped. The views were breathtaking, the goat track hill climbs and rocky descents really got the blood pumping on many occasions. River crossings were exciting as were the dry stream bed rocky trials sections. After topping out on the larger Mountains, it was so peaceful with beautiful scenery. Yes, without a doubt, I would recommend booking Riders-Of-The-Lost-Trail. Thanks again Phil for looking after us.

We were in Estepona recently and took a wander into the “historico” bit. It is very nice and the little houses are lovely, with a good range of different coloured flowerpots hanging from the walls. Very pretty but rather tedious after a very short time. Maybe we missed something spectacular but if we did, they should do a better sales job! Not for us

Puerto de la Duquesa

Reviewed By Tony G - Cricklade, United Kingdom

A place to visit if you are in the area but not somewhere to make a special effort to see. Purpose built marina filled with pleasure craft with basically pedestrianised roads on 3 sides. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants which are pleasant to sit outside when the weather is warm. We watched some kids feeding the fish by the quayside. It’s a very touristy area. Better to explore the lanes and plazas inland from the marina.

Casares Castle

Reviewed By Branko V - Stevenage, United Kingdom

The name ‘Casares’ originates from the Arabic word meaning “fortress” or” castle”.
The Castle has some impressive views over the countryside, it’s obvious that it was originally constructed with a defensive purpose, with easy access from the town square.
You can still see the ruins of the main doors, the castle being is being renovated. Unfortunately the castle isn’t open every day (closed the day we were there)

Paseo Maritimo de Estepona

Reviewed By Duquesadiner - Glasgow

There is a stretch of Promenade from the marina in Estepona heading generally east which runs for about 2 miles and is very flat and easy to navigate. Other than watching out for cyclists, of which there are many, this is a nice walk with views out to sea as well as over towards the old part of Estepona. There are a number of good places to stop for a refreshment or two and although the better restaurants are to be found in the old town, the ones on the Promenade are reasonably priced and offer good fresh food. The beach is also very well maintained, clean and the sea safe to swim in.

Finca Cortesin Golf Club

Reviewed By Ryan M - London, United Kingdom

The experience this golf club produces is unmatched by other top clubs. From the moment we called to make the reservation to having to call to see if we could move the tee time slightly the staff were incredible.
We were a 2 ball and on the day they managed to keep us ahead of two large groups by starting us on the 10th timing it perfectly to get ahead of a second large group starting on the first.
The course itself was in excellent condition and is a fun and forgiving course. If you want to take a challenging shot you will encounter the classic risk/ reward decision.
The only slightly negative were the greens, which were a bit slow and did not produce a true roll. You have to be quite picky to think this would have ruined your round, but the greens were the only negative we could have found.
The experience is unrivalled except for the hospitality found at Loch Lomond in Scotland. Even Wentworth was no as enjoyable. Look forward to being back soon.

Worth a wander through in winter to see the architecture of the buildings surrounding the square. To take in the winter flowering plants. However don’t expect the summer vibe because much of the outdoors eating and drinking facilities are packed away. This is a ten minutes visit in winter but as long as you like in summer.

A really neat place. But it's not easy to find. Make sure you have great driving instructions. We stopped on a late weekend afternoon and the place was full of locals enjoying the day. Many had brought a picnic. If you have a pair of water shoes, bring them. Not a must, but the stream is a bit rocky.
