This restaurant never disappoints. The food, set lunch or a la carte, is inventive, delicious and satisfying. The service is wonderful however many diners are present. Attentive informative staff look after you perfectly. The very high standards of every part of this restaurant are reflected in the large number of regular returning diners. They deserve success. Make sure you book, you will not regret it.

My family and I went to the El Lateral in Gaucin a couple of days ago. Before going we looked at some reviews on TripAdvisor and a lot of people recommended it. My husband and I chose the tasting menu. It was very good. My...MoreI am sorry your daughter could not eat enough, but you order 2 tasting menú for 3 people, maybe you could order something (there are a lot of dishes) for her. We are glad you enjoy very much our food. Thanks.

We visited the venta a few times on our last annual stay in la Acadia, this is a fantastic family oriented welcoming local restaurant. Victoria and the family are always great hosts and make everyone feel welcome. The food at the venta is also great and very reasonably priced, we'd recommend the ensalada especial (chefs salad) and chorizo al vino (chorizo in red wine sauce). Best restaurant of this type in the area for combination of value, food quality and welcoming family focussed atmosphere. If you get an outside table around dusk you can also see the sierra bermeja ( highest mountain in the area) turning red with the sunset.

Firstly, the restaurant has some excellent waiting staff. Also the location and setting are lovely. Sadly, our meal was mediocre. There appeared to be no urgency in getting the food from the kitchen to the table, warm. It was not that busy. I do believe that there were extenuating circumstances. Nevertheless, the carbonara we had was served cold. The waiter brought the carbonara to the table in a separate serving dish and proceeded to 'poke it' around a bit with a fork and then served the pasta on to a cold plate. The result was a cold main course! A rather self-assured female member of staff chastised us for not mentioning the problem sooner. We chose not to complain because of the 'extenuating circumstances' and politely mentioned the cold food solely as a courtesy. I ordered a pizza which was at best OK. This restaurant should be serving amazing food, not average food. Their home made focaccia is very good. I'm sure some people will be content eating here, but we are not.

This is a tiny little bar/restaurant that lies in the shade of the castle, and it serves authentic Spanish platters either indoors or out on a series of terraces.
We stayed in Casares for a week and ate at Restaurant El Castillo several times. We found many of the city restaurants serving quite expensive, yet simple food. This place was a good exception. The ingredients were more than fresh, some from their own garden. Food was prepared well. Pasta dishes were great. I also enjoyed a great stroganof with a nice herbal twist.
The staff was very helpfull and we got good service.
In addition to the food, you can enjoy a magnificent view to the sea and to the Mountains.

Charming bar/restaurant run by the charming Arturo and his extremely efficient and polite staff who really can't do anymore for you.
The veranda area overlooking the golf course is stunning to sit out on and eat your breakfast, lunch, dinner or delicious pizza.
The newly opened cocktail bar which opens later in the evening is a fabulous addition and they regularly have live music and karaoke evenings, something for all the family.

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews...have to say it was out of this world and were always given a table next to the beach to watch the sunset.
The staff were so friendly and all spoke great english which made it easy to order food....and I have to say the red house wine was a cracker at the price....continue the good work and the great customer experience
