I live close to Presquile Provincial Park, and have been living in Brighton for almost 4 years. The park is great to walk, bike, and hike in. I can not say the Beaches are great, or beautiful. I am appalled at the condition of the Beaches. All 3 Beaches are literally for the birds. I do not understand why people want to camp here. The Beaches are dirty littered with fowl waste, smells like sewage, and garbage is not picked up. The geese and gulls have the right of way even though they have their own island which we are not allowed on. The washrooms are not looked after. They are filthy with toilets filled with human waste and these are not outhouses. I can not believe people let their children swim in these waters. Nor can I believe the reviews that have given this park 5 stars. It is utterly discussing. So very sad, as this could be such a beautiful park, but they have given it over to the fowls.

There is a lovely easy to moderate hike through an oak-maple-pine forest. Great for seasonal bird watching and wildflower photography. Visited May 30/17 and June 12/17 to look at flowering plants.

My dad used to race so just remembering the sights and sounds helped us have a great time. The main event didn't even have any cautions so it was a fun race to end off the evening. They race everything here on the dirt track so make sure to check the website to go on the night that is running the type of race you want to see.

I am very late in writing this review although I have spent months raving about my Mrs B's experience. My birthday was the end of August and my parents ordered me a customized cake. A delicious cake is difficult to order for me as I am lactose intolerant. This cake was phenomenal - delicious and beautiful - almost too pretty to eat. My parents tell me the staff were outstanding to deal with and were very sensitive to my allergy. I was concerned it would have been very expensive but in learning the price I was shocked - it would easily be 5 times more in my city. Thank you Mrs B's for a fantastic cake and for making my birthday so special.

We go every year with the 2 kids to pick apples, always a good time, doesn't take long to get a big bunch of apples, so don't go thinking it will kill a few hours, lol. Other than that it's a great place, staff are always...MoreThank you for your positive review. At Cricklewood Farm we try our best to make your visit to our apple orchard and farm market a positive and enjoyable one. We hope you visit us again in 2017.

This is an awesome attraction. I go here as often as time allows. The nostalgia for Canadian trains is apparent with the lovingly restored engines, cars and cabooses. This place is filled with local history. It is a must go to if you are in the area. The gentleman who runs this gem is very friendly, approachable and a wealth of information if you engage him with questions.

Proctor House museum is a well scared for an interesting mansion that depicts the way people would have lived in the 1800s. The grounds around the Proctor House are perfect for a family picnic as there are well groomed trails to explore along Butler Creek. If you time your visit right there is The Barn Theatre which showcases local talent. We recently saw the Christmas production and it sure put us in the Christmas spirit! Really impressive talented volunteers who put on these shows. Highly recommend both the Proctor House and The Barn Theatre.

If you love vintage ... you'll love this little gem! I was totally impressed with all the antiques and the repurposed industrial equipment made into beautiful tables, sideboards. Etc. It was a walk down Memory Lane (for my 60-something self) to see the various household items from my childhood and especially the candy (Popeye candy cigarettes and Thrills gum). Do yourself a favour and drop in to have a look. You'll be glad you did.

As an avid book-reader the first place I seek out when I go somewhere new is the book store. I was in for a treat. Not only was there a nice selection of books, Kathryn took the time to help me choose according to my preferences and suggested some lovely reads based on our conversation. 4 books later I am a satisfied customer who is deeply appreciative of the extremely friendly and personalized service. I may go back just to chat with Kathryn! And will leave with another book
