Was recommended. Sadly of the 8 choices, two were off when we arrived so limited selection.Had the tomatoes with whipped feta - a variation on Caprese you could say.Great tomatoes but a bit too creamy for me. Then some Smelts ( whitebait to me) which were nicely cooked but the accompanying sauce was very bland.
Lovely service but disappointing overall. Maybe just a bad night.

portabella is a CASUAL restaurant in Picton. portabella offers everything from burgers to pickerel and pasta, portabella is not a fine dining restaurant but somewhere to get a good lunch or dinner at a reasonable price.
Stopped here for lunch today, and what a delight!
Cozy atmosphere, friendly happy service. Lunch menu had just enough of a twist to make it their own style.
Prices on par with many other establishments.
What a lovely find a snowstorm on a Saturday!! I’ll be back for sure!

Experience inspired County Bistro cuisine in an inviting and intimate setting. Chef Michael Sullivan combines his vast Toronto experience with his passion to feature the best of Prince Edward County The wine list comprises a representation of both fine wines of The County, international vintages, local beer, cider and spirits Seasonal outdoor dining is also available
We stayed at the Merrill Inn for two nights and enjoyed a spectacular dinner in their restaurant. The chef and kitchen staff are highly talented and our dinner was second to none. It was nouvelle cuisine at its finest. My husband ordered the Hot Smoked...MoreThank you so much for joining us and we're happy to hear that you had such a great dinner. We have passed along your compliments to our culinary team and our service staff

7 friends & I decided to have lunch together while the weather was still good. I had missed the opportunity after the Remembrance Day service, something one of the friends & I usually did. So we had a reserved table, the service was great, the food yummy and the companionship was good too. I had the usual steak on a bun and instead of the chips that came with it I decided to pay a little more and have the composed salad. That composed salad is really tasty so I really enjoyed it. The portion is large so I got a take out box and took it home to have it for lunch the next day. I really love lunch at the Acoustic Grill, it's always good.

Sunday evening meal with friend. Quickly seated (able to choose location in D.R.) Extensive selection of local wines. Fish chowder was a dream from Heaven! Delicious, each component cooked exactly till done. Wiener schnitzel was crispy on the outside; meat well cooked. Dessert was wonderful. Sorry, no pix, too engrossed in the wonderful food!

Coffee Shop And Book Store
I was in town visiting and was looking for a gluten free dessert and thankfully Miss Lilly's had a nice selection of options. I chose 3 slices of apple cake. It tasted very good. A but pricey at $5 a slice, but otherwise a pleasant experience.

Hard to miss in central Bloomfield (which is not a large village). We've been there maybe six times in the past three years, recently late August 2017. A very pleasant and popular setting off the main street, under the trees, with either Seating on the porch or in the garden or inside the cafe itself (very limited Seating inside). We've only had coffee and cake but one can get breakfast and light lunches (soup, wraps, etc), at least until they're sold out that day. Being a small place (which makes it all the more charming) you might have to wait for Seating if you're there at 'prime time' (noon to about 2 pm), especially on the weekend. And no one is in a hurry at the Saylor House cafe. Neither patrons nor staff. The staff also seem to have an aversion to wiping the tables in the garden, and cleaning off used dishes. But it's the County, so take it easy. Two coffee and cake will be about $15, which is very reasonable, and all the coffee you can drink.

Our diverse selection of rustic style dishes takes advantage of the wonderful produce this area has to offer. Chef Paul Tobias shares his modern spin on classic comfort food and the result is delicious! From the farm, dairy, bakery and winery right to your table. Pull-up a chair and enjoy great food and soak up the rustic warmth of our dining room. Agrarian Market wants to make entertaining easy for you with our local gourmet food items to go. We carry over 50 International and Regional Cheeses, charcuterie from Seed to Sausage, seasonal local preserves and authentic French baguette baked fresh daily. Our bar, The Speakeasy, is a funky space featuring craft brews on tap, great ciders and wine and killer cocktails. Live music on Fridays and Saturday Shuffle with Fondue night are just a few of the fun events taking place in the bar. Food, drink, friends! Come rest your roots at Agrarian, you'll be happy you did!
We were there for lunch & ordered a glass of wine to start with while looking at the menu.
Our mistake was we should have looked at the menu before going into the restaurant.
The wine selection was good but not much choices for lunch.
It was a very limited menu. We chose the Grilled Cheese on sourdough with salad which was very tasty, but it was not really a salad, just young romaine lettuce with minimal tarragon dressing.
I found this Bistro too $$ for what I received.
Lesson learned, look at the menu posted outside first.

We stopped in late afternoon for a snack and glass of wine. It will be nice in warmer temps when the doors are open to the vineyard, but a nice place, our soup and chucuterie board was amazing. It was disappointing that we could not buy the wine we had as they only sell to licensee's.
