There are many resorts promoting Patar "White" sand beach and I must agree that it is beautiful. The only problem is the Public Beach , The Public beach is free and beware of scams where there are people who claim that there is a "Parking Entrance Fee". If you came here for the white sand , Go to some private resorts because it isn't white in the public beach which was kind of dissappointing

we heard alot about the caves of Bolinao so we went to enchanted cave first before going to Patar Beach. It's to the left side after you enter Patar arch. The place is very big and commercial and popular with families and big groups. there are the caves, the hiking trails, the swimming pools, the religious shrines and monkeys and birds. The wonderful cave is just a cave and much cheaper and not crowded. If you like lots of activities and family, enchanted is good . but for couples and small group of friends, wonderful cave is less tourist trap.

There are lots of people doing photo shoots and selfies :) I am actually surprised that this is still operating looking from a distant its old and rustic, but because I saw a light coming from this lighthouse one night during our stay with our resort made me curious and visit this place.

The place is not crowded or because we went there on a weekday off peak season, entrance fee is 50/head and 50 per life vest. it was clean and close to the nature feel as it was well maintained. My advice is, if you come and visit the place please dont bring a sedan better bring a car that has high clearances because 70-80% is rough road

a good place to visit. the church stand tall for its history. around the church you can buy souvenirs which the profits are used for their feeding program for the community.

Highly recommend this beautiful Waterfalls with it's blue and Emerald green pools during the rainy season or after a good rain. Two of the three falls plunge into a single large pool while the third falls has its own separate pool. Both pools are deep enough to permit the youth who think they will live forever to dive, jump or flip off the cliffs into the deep pool below.
The road from regional highway 5 to Tara falls is now concrete and easy to drive for most vehicles. The natural beauty of the falls is blemished by the litter of previous guests. On the Thursday we visited there was no fees and on one other family visiting. It was quiet and serene during our stay.

I was disappointed when I went to Patar rock formation. I squandered P75 entrance fee. Nothing really special with the rock formation. Unlike the “Kapupurawan” rock formation in Ilocos. You can skip this one. No wonder we (tour guide and myself) were the only one who were there.

There are many coral and limestone caves to see around Bolinao. This is just another one of them although Enchanted Cave is the most popular one. Local officials can maximize these tourist attractions by helping the private landowners improve their facilities and make it safer for viewing/visiting, ie., stone steps, hand rails.

The place is ok if travelling with kids. Cool air, calm waves, soft sand. There's a side with cottages while the far end going to the islet is quite dirty. Campers left their garbage on the shore. Simple accommodation but very warm locals. I'd come back if the local tourism office improves the place, meantime responsible tourism please...
