We where there for a international teambuilding event during a long weekend. We went snowshoe walking uphill starting at hotel Vista and topped that with a midnight walk on the tower. Only the next afternoon we could really appreciate the stunning views and the sheer heights which we only could feel before... Recommend to all and will go there again, then with family.

I do like the place very much. This is really thrilling to visit old gold mine. Both, the place and the trip, are friendly for kids which is very nice and on the other hand it is not commercialized too much.

Not so often people may visit caves inside. And it is possible in Kletno in Bear Cave. it is the must to visit.

If you are in Klodzko County, I strongly recommend to visit this fortress. It is huge and in good condition. We had self-guide tour and there are many information boards with sufficient details (PL, CZ, EN, DE). The fortress is huge, optimal time for visit are two hours (without labyrint!). There are several places with beautiful views of city and landscape.

A 19th century neo-Gothic castle, designed by the renowned architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel for the princess Marianne von Oranien-Nassau.
I have read the history of the castle and not only origins are amazing, but also the recent battles on ideas how to restore this large size monument. One can see the castle from almost 50km. It's on a small hill, in a forest, covered with bushes and trees. Surprisngly there was some renovation work done, so there is a new entrance from one side, some interiors build. Yet in general, the place is a castle ruin with so much potential that the money needed to capitalize on it is simply too big.
It's a good idea to stop the car near the monastery, walk around the town and complete the day trip by walking around the castle. There used to be an option to call for a guide, but in 2012 it was not feasible.

Forest bar ( Lesní bar ) - thats most unique place I have ever visit. Imagine to walk to woods for like hour or so and them find a magic place where you refresh yourself without waitres or even the owner!!!! YES! You come to the place where beer and soft drinks are cooling in the mountain stream, there is also some meat and snacsk stacked in a box if you can set a fire you can barbecue them. Want a tea or coffe? No problem take water from the stream ( its perfectly clean ) and boil on the fire or in the cattle. You ask what about paying?? Well no one pursue you if you dont pay!!!! Its up to you if you pay or not - YES you hear right , there is no one to charge you BUT after all of this you will like to pay for what you eat or drink because this dream is worth to keep going! Be careful you cant get there with the car only by walk - so use the GPS coordinates to reach parking destination and follow the signs LESNI BAR. Once again GPS coordinates - 50°13'27.95"N 17°03'23.28"E .

This place is not about technical architecture only. You can take funicular and then shuttle bus to get on the top - 1 353 m above sea level (you start at 564 m). And you will open your mounth there. Pool is so big, but the view all around is breathtaking. You can see Praděd tower and beautiful nature of Jeseníky.

The papermill is the only opened papermill in Czech Republic The papermill is ancient (mid 1500). There are frequent guided tours and for the foreigners there is good audiotour (we used the English one) the tour shows some history pf both papermaking in general and the papermill and the machines used (eg the Hollander) and also some art made of paper and ends with a demo in working factory. The tour is approx 1hr. While waiting for the tour to start you can follow a workshop or visit the small shop

The venue offers rafting and kayaking experience. The equipment is very good quality and the river is quite easy going and safe. We really enjoyed it! My recommendation is to take a inflatable boat for each 4-6 people in case of bigger groups - great and exciting team competition :)
