Walt Disney and cartoon lovers should have a particularly great time but this is a relaxing out-of-town visit if you have a more than fleeting interest in cartoons and related collector objects.
I found early cartoons particularly fascinating though material from turn of the last century is understandingly somewhat sparse. Easy to get to by car or by public transport. Restaurant is nice and recommended, with a limited menu they seem to do well. I tried some perfectly tasty pasta with shrimps and sundried tomato pesto.

We picked up a car at the airport and travelled west to Sigtuna, which was quite close by. We parked and walked into the old town. The main street was a quaint laneway with lovely shops and houses on either side. We walked down to the lakes edge and wandered along the footpath to the boardwalk and park more adjacent to the old town. We sat on some seats and enjoyed the Sunshine before heading on our way again. Lovely spot for a stop.

An tremendous championship golf course at the lake with stunning views on the landscape, nature, lake... And challenging.
After my experience today I must recommend to take your time, have an half hour warm up on the driving range, before you enter the breathtaking stadium course. (To play the old castle course cost much less, but it is not half the experience of the stadium course.)
At end of my day I must say: Maybe the best course in Sweden. For a golfer a must to have played this super golf course.

It is a lovely castle, and quite close from the airport, so quite handy, if you have some time to kill before going to Arlanda. It also has a restaurant.

I have eaten here several times, most recently last week. Previously had the traditional Christmas table and more recently the business lunch. Food always excellent. Nice place to go for a walk in their natural arboretum which has an enormous collection of trees and forest managed in a variety of different styles.

Sweden has this really bad tradition in calling all the medium and large buildings "castles"
It is just another mansion, privately owned, can only see it from outside and be careful where you walk because everything around the area are private properties.
I had to wait till 12:00 for the gates to the park to be open, even though the website said 11. Nobody showed up up to open the gates. I had to go ask somebody at the shop across the street, then finally someone came with a key. It was 15 minutes later.
Building is nice but there are better attractions better in the area. Skip this one! I drove from Uppsala to Stockholm and stopped by but that didnt justify my time wasted. Sorry..

Spent two days here with my Nordic management team. Beautiful offsite location, conveniently located close to the airport and great rooms and food. In addition, the conference room was perfect and the free WiFI worked well. I would also consider staying here with my wife for a weekend.

Biskops Arno has a long history. Now it is a quiet island with an old mansion, a park and some agriculture. One may enjoy a walk in the park (there is a 550-old oak), watching at the birds and old buildings and have a coffee. Try to get to the guided tour to know more about what you actually see. There are some summer courses also. This is a place for someone who seeks peace and silence, and is tired of too much impressions, I would say.
