I went there for dinner, and I liked the fresh halibut fillet; the accompanying flavours were interesting though possibly not entirely satisfactory - pumpkin puree and fennel were more original than really good. But an overall good experience, also thanks to kind staff and nice setting. A bit expensive, though.

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. I had the salmon lax with horseradish. Delicious. The horseradish was not as pungent as usual, which was good, as it would have overpowered the tasty salmon carpaccio.
I then had the bouillabaisse, which I found rather tame and overpowered by the celery. I had saved some bread from before the meal, which went very well with the remaining soup broth.
My wife had the Arctic char over risotto. The fish skin was crisp and wonderful. Normally she removes the skin from any fish, but with this dish, that would be a crime.
The hostess who seated us was a little pretentious, but our waiter was nice.

Not only is their menu outstanding, they offer great service as well. Whether you are looking to find the best pad thai in town or for a delicious curry this is the place to go.
Looking for something new and exciting? Don't hesitate to ask what they have to offer that is not listed on the menu, they never cease to amaze!

This is now my favorite restaurant in the area. Great service, comfortable atmosphere and most important very nicely prepared food. Menu has one very good vegetarian main entree and also some fish entrees.
Both the Char (fish) entree and the vegetarian entree were tried and both were very good.

How to describe Jay Fu's without sounding crazy, I cannot. When you enter Jay Fu's you loose yourself in all the environment that surrounds you and after you seat at your table you'll get amazed by what you'll experience there. First the crazy but really practical menu with all this imaginative names for the dishes and even these are mysterious. Anything you'll select will surprise you and trick your palate with the amazing flavors they manage to get together.
A recommendation, go early and hungry, you'll need time and an empty stomach to be able to try the greatest food Jay Fu's prepares. For starters order the combo, will send you to heaven. Main course, the one I tried (the mixed grilled) and the ones my friends took (mainly fish and seafood) looked and tasted phenomenal. Ahh don't forget to accompany your meal with a great wine from their large collection.
Enjoy!

Villa Anna is a strong contender for Uppsala's top restaurant. The cooking is based on Scandinavian ingredidents that are refined to exciting compositions. We have visited the restaurant a few times previously and it has always been good. This time we had the six course menu which really shows what the restaurant stands for. The size of the courses was balanced, so that the number didn't feel too much. The flavours and presentation of each course were superb and well accompanied by the beverage suggestions. The ambiance is peaceful, the staff attentive and knowlegeable.

I went here with my family. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who was helpful.
Everyone enjoyed their meals and agreed that they were tasty, with my Mother offering her personal compliments to the chef. the wine was also of a good quality.
The only problem I had is that I had a very upset stomach afterwards. I ordered the duck, as did 2 others with my party. The others had it medium rare, while i had it rare (against the recommendations of the waitress). In England it is OK to eat good quality duck rare but perhaps not here? If that is the case, the chef should refuse to serve it this way.
I suppose I have myself to blame, at least in part, but I was ill for two days and feel that this is not what one expects from a restaurant meal.

New, small, charming and EXCELLENT. The menu is created after the choice of wines and this changes every week. The best whole in the wall there is - and with super cross-country cooking with focus on local an ecological ingredients.
I had their 5 course tasting menu with paired wines - superb. The various tastes were all exquisitely paired with wines. The service by Frida was exceptional.
I would recommend taking a detour to visit this restaurant.
They are offering special tasting menus for Vegans as well.

This review could've easily been a 5, rather than a 4.
Stationen is a good place to visit for food and I'd say that they've always delivered consistently when it comes to what they serve. Selection is somewhat small but ok.
What tips the scale for me is the lack of service, something that could easily be improved. Orders are placed at the bar and there are no traditional waiters taking orders. This is a choice that has been made that I understand, but despite it you'll frequently see parties not getting this information sitting down at tables in hope of a waiter approaching. Secondly, they clear out plates even before you've finished eating making the entire experience feel rushed and sometimes even interrupted.
It is a good place, and you're going to have a good experience if you visit, but it is just out of reach of a 5.

Very nice choice of food ranging from the run of the mill Scandinavian fare to other food you would probably be glad to see at a breakfast.
Three things that are still missing for me, peanut butter for the bagels, Strawberry jam (my preference to have with the peanut butter) and maple syrup for the waffles.
