Counted amongst the most popular and lively beaches in Goa, Baga(Beach) is literally an extension of Calangute. Baga is smaller than the Calangute and Colva beaches lying on either side of it. It is favored by tourist who want to sun bathe in peace during by day and enjoy the Goan nightlife by night. However, Baga can be just as exciting for the more active tourist and offers a wide range of water sports from jet skis to parasailing. Baga is known to have the best range of restaurants and the liveliest nightlife in the area. While you are there don't miss the Saturday Flea market for all kinds of odds and ends, handicrafts, jewellery and snacks

Baga has like Calangute become a popular tourist destination so the beach has become very busy especially at weekends and public holidays.lots of shacks and water sports. As you walk along towards Calangute it becomes quieter between the two Beaches. On a Wednesday it’s possible to take a boat trip to Anjuna market. You can crossto the opposite side of the creek via the Baga bridge or there are some good restaurants beside the Baga river.Plenty of lifeguards stationed or patrolling the beach so a safe environment.Very popular with domestic tourists.

This Church has really got good view around it. Its very quiet place as it remains open between 07:00 and 08:30 only. So reach during that period. Otherwise you will find it close as shown in picture also.

Anjuna Market is one of goa’s most popular flea markets, with a whole variety of sellers offering everything imaginable, you get a true sense of India with the smell of spices from the spice stalls as you pass by, each seller trying to encourage you to look at their wares, you will also find watering holes to buy foods& drink, but don’t expect luxury, these are very basic but if you do want a little more up market, wind your way through the market, towards the beach where you will find a really nice bar and restaurant.
The market can be reached by taxi or you can get a water taxi from along the beach, which we did as their was one right by our hotel, so worth asking in advance, the return trip cost around £10 Per person from Calangute Beach.
Warning: watch out for the scammers, they will approach you very fast and grab your ear, which happened to me, my first thought was that I had something in or on my ear and he was just getting it off, he then says don’t move and started to take grim out of your ear, which I could not believe, he then asked me to go to his shop which I refused, this was only to get me out of the crowd, he then tried to get £40 out of me for doing his scam I refused, it turns out that this is a known scam and they have this waxy brown stuff on there person and they use slight of hand very clever.
So if you get approached walk on don’t be dragged in.
That said great place to visit and grab a bargain.

We had absolutely no expectations from this beach. We visited this as we were near this place (Fort Auguda). But after visiting this beach, we thanked ourselves as we might have missed such a beautiful beach. It has great scenic feeling attached to it. Good thing is not much crowded so you get to spend your own personal time here. It has amazing view of the fort as well.

THE SATURDAY NIGHT MARKET - The World's Local Market. The Saturday Night Market is Goa's retro styled hippy and artisan night market that features a wide variety of colors and scenes and is truly a kaleidoscope of stalls having cultural influences from all across the globe, which is, in reality its uniqueness. Why miss it?
Come Saturday evening, and it seems the whole of Goa has come to visit the flea market. I was impressed with the way the organizers manage the traffic and thousands of cars for parking. The market has so many stalls, more than 1000, I think. However, it’s only called a flea market, the prices of some of the apparels and stuff are higher than some of the international brands. But it’s not just the apparels u get there, the market has lot of other stuff to shops from, spices, teas, jewellery, bags, crockery, home decor, etc etc. It has lot of food stalls and bars as well of different cuisine and live band Performances too! Makes for a very colourful evening/ night!
