Very nice artistic work, all the muppets are hand made and everything is made manually. You can see the original muppets from the tv series, which scenario and everything. Also you can see the show with the muppets in the theater, and it's very funny and interesting, specially if you understand German. In the show interval you can visit the backstage and see the "actors" muppets that make the show :)

The world's oldest social settlement, this estate houses 200 impoverished Catholic tenants.
This is one of the more unusual historic sites I've seen in Germany. And it's not just historic, it's a living community.
Walk through slowly and feel the environment. Read all of the plaques and feel the history. Then go through the historic and current model flats to feel the real thing.
And don't miss the WWII bomb shelter.

It was a 2 mile walk from my hotel, but absolutely worth every step. It's much larger than I expected and has a variety of different Gardens to enjoy. A park for kids to romp in. Pretty nice place to visit.

Augsburg's 17th-century city hall, recently restored following severe damage in World War II, is the architectural masterpiece of this ancient Roman city.
A must visit while in Augsberg. The gold room is very impressive and at only 2.50 eur to get in is well worth a visit.

The church sits on the high ground at the southern end of Maximilianstrasse and should be incorporated into any walking tour of Augsberg. The exterior is attractive but the interior's three ornate altars, pulpit, statuary and interesting iron railings are the real reason to visit. Be sure to visit the crypts in the basement; these contain the remains of several saints. Beautifully restored and maintained---worth the time.

The church in which Martin Luther resided during his time in Augsburg.
Charming little Protestant church More like a private chapel for the Fuggers. Kept in beautiful condition.

This Gothic Cathedral was originally constructed in the ninth century and was refurbished in the 14th century.
This church has an extensive set of grounds with excavations, found artifacts and wooded park. Nice for a stroll

The Zoo Augsburg is small but very well maintained. The enclosures for some animals are too small and old-fashioned but the Zoo informs very well how they are planing to expand existing enclosures. And the infrastructure in and around the enclosures are in very good shape. We visited on the weekend and the Zoo was very busy with families (dogs and kids included). It has a very nice Biergarten and you should definitely try the Weisser Hase beer.

This palace was once visited by Marie Antoinette and funds are being raised for its restoration.
Blink and you will miss the ticket office on the right of the entry.
Then it's not exactly evident where you find the fabulous room in all these photos. Sort of the back of an upper hall, with a guard/attendant seated in front of a closed door. You open a door that gives the impression it was a private entrance, then you find this gaudy room. There is beauty about it, but it's so over the top, it's not really enjoyable.
If you are bored in Augsburg, wander past. Some of the artwork was "different" also. Some nudes and Picasso's.
