Not much to say on that one... average pizzeria, average pizzas (thin crusted, rather small) not bad but really nothing to remember or dream about. Close to the railway station, so practical in case you want to meet someone on your way to somewhere.

I'll start by saying that, while staff is friendly, the service is slow.
With that out of the way, this is a nice place, serving really nice food. It has an unpretentious, medieval decor, while the food is the typical French cuisine.
The portions are big and tasty. We had the tartar, the pizza carpaccio and the chèvre chaud as a starter. And the caprese cake. Yummy.
Total damage? 110 CHF, tip included.
Yes, this is in the center and yes, this is a touristy place, but don't pass it over: if you're not in a hurry, it offers tasty food in a cost ambience.

I like this small nice café, and I always go back, morning café or evening drinks! Good and pretty special selection of drinks, snack suggestions, nice service, newspapers available.

We went here because of all the hype on TripAdvisor.
This is your regular rock-looking bar/cafe (which is not a bad thing in itself), with tons of rock posters on the walls and rock music playing in the background.
The reservation process was very smooth: I called, I got the answering machine, which told me to text the number for a reservation. Which I did and got a confirmation immediately.
The service is a average for Switzerland and poor compared to the rest of the world. Which is typical for Switzerland. The waiter, while a very nice individual (methinks), was not necessarily the most welcoming of them all.
The choice is quite OK (including vegetarian stuff and the burger of the day), but you cannot customize them at all: I wanted a friend egg on top, it was not possible.
I totally forgot, and they didn't ask, how well too cook the meat. Therefore, I got a medium-to-well-done patty which I wasn't that happy with. But my fault, I guess.
The fries were sub par, quite dry and not that tasty (which I always expect of fries, given them being demonized worldwide and all).
Price wise: 60 CHF for two burgers (one small, 130 g, one big, 260 g) and two beers and tip.
We don't regret going there, but it wouldn't be our first choice for a come back visit.

Have eaten here often with associates and friends, and the food is always just right. True, it's a bit expensive, but I can't fault the freshness nor composition of the bistro-style menu. There's always a touch of creativity too that I appreciate. Relaxed and friendly. In summer you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the remarkable cobble-stoned square.

The food at the restaurant is divine. I asked for a glutenfree menu, and this is the best I have eaten in quite a while! Can absolutely recommend the food.
As for the interior of the restaurant: don't expect anything fancy. The restaurant is very "classical", there is also classical music in the background, and maybe a bit on the unexciting side.

This place makes the best pizza in Yverdon. The quality and the price is incredible. However as mentioned in the title "don't judge a book but its cover" the area is hidden behind some not very good looking buildings but the pizzas are delicious and the service is friendly.

We come here for lunch when shopping in Yverdon. Don Camillo is an unpretentious little restaurant with friendly staff and good food. They have a daily speciality (CHF 16.-) which is certainly good value for money. Our favourite from their main menu is Piccata. Have eaten here often and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere remains pleasant even when it's full at midday.

We have been there twice, always happy with the food and the service we received. Meat quality was excellent, and the foie gras with caramel sauce was absolutely divine. One of the best restos we have tried.
Service is good, the place is very clean, highly recommended.

I know I will regret this review because nobody knows this place, and I really enjoy this situation.
You should really pay it some attention next time you are in Yverdon.
Csarda is a typical small local restaurant. Nothing makes it stand out, the location is not really good, it is too close to a main road, but at least parking is usually easy.
Even inside, you won't be impressed by the decoration. it really looks bland and uninteresting.
But they have some of the best meat in the whole town and even further than that.
They also make very decent pizza and some good pasta or cheese dishes, but the reason why you want to eat there is meat.
They make all the known variations of meat fondue, chinese, bourguignonne, bressane, tatar hat, name it ! Most of them are offered on an "all you can eat" formula, but what makes it really interesting is the sheer quality of the meat. It is gorgeous.
They also make excellent skinny fries (matchstick size) with their meat which I always appreciate.
The service is very friendly and the prices are fair.
So, like I said, I know I will regret shedding some light on this little unknown gem, but go ahead ! try it, if you enjoy meat you will love the place.
