Excellent pizza, gracious owner couple, wide menu variety at reasonable prices (in Thai baht, attached photo) Short drive East of Chiang Mai Thailand. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pizza-Plus-/187511977976660?sk=info
Italian restaurant but I think it is thai style, No ravioli, no pasta. Sexy salad was good, pizza was so so, spaghetti cream sauce was missing italian soul. Overall is ok. I will go again.

Back in it;s days this was a good idea. Use the profits to help fight the spread of AIDS in the community. But some where along the way the idea got lost. The CEO now in his late 70's should have retired long ago. His ideas are dated and old school. He does help the community but now with a hodge podge of ideas and programs, I say do 1 thing and do it well, not a something for everyone shotgun approach.
Many tables but few had customers. .the 1 car and 3 motorbikes in the lot are the staff and a staff not that interested in anything

I cycled from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai via Wiang Pa Pao and stumbled across this cool new restaurant. I had lunch and dinner here and I have to say the service was wonderful, the menu wasn't in English but the owner spoke English and was very helpful. I offered to put her place up on here since it was that new. Authentic Thai cuisine served in a funky and cool place. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere felt very homely. I say if you're stopping over in this town Junchay is the place the go and prices are very reasonable!

Locanda Doi Saket is located at the feet of the beautiful temple Wat Pra That in Doi Saket, along Chiang-Mai Chiang Rai Rd, 118.It has a welcoming Terrace and a spacious air conditioning room.Menu is mainly Italian, Swiss-Italian an dsome Thai dishes.Italian, English, Thai, French and German spoken.Owner is a Swiss-Italian couple (Ticino)
Many years ago Duranee and Roberto Villa, started their restaurant and we became
regular visitors. The new building at Highway 118, was also the start of more international and Thai tasty items on the menu and changing blackboard.
Salads, pizza's, fish, meat, pasta's. You name it, they cook it for you and smiling Noi will take to your table. Cees likes pasta seafood thai style the best and I am fond of the pizza 4 formaggio and of course the salade nicoise as a starter. But go there and try for your selves.

Chomnok Chommai is one of the famous coffee shops in Mae Kampong. Many will fight the steep slope on their vehicles to get up here, enjoy a cuppa and the view from the hilltop on the Mae Kampong village.
Going a little further, you will come across the Mae Kampong Waterfalls, which is quaint in its own right.
Nice place to relax!

We stopped at this beautiful spot - about 46 kms from Chiang Mai on the road 118 to Chiang Rai - for the first time three years ago. Since then my friend has ordered all his coffee from there: Best one is 'Lanna paradise' or 'Fruity flora'.
This time we had the opportunity to talk at length with the owner about coffee and his project: He has a coffee plantation up the mountain which you can visit and learn about coffee. He runs this beautiful restaurant/coffeeshop which looks like a museum full of coffee making gadgets like machines, grinders etc.
The coffee is 100% organic.
Also in this beautiful spot a creek and lots of green and - 3 luxury bungalows to spend a night, with jacuzzi etc.
Next time we'll stay overnight.

This coffeeshop is situated right by Thaweesin Hot Springs.
You can have the best organic coffee while your feet are dangling in very special hot spring water.
Nine one coffee is an organic coffee brand which is grown about 20 kms from here on your way to Chiang Mai.
There you also find a cafe-restaurant and a most beautiful resort.

This is most visited coffee shop in the village. Many tourist try to photograph at this place which makes crowded with people around. The building looks historical probably the oldest coffee shop in the village. Now they opened many new coffee shops around but this is the tourist attraction. Recommended.
