Zacharo (Greek: Ζαχάρω) is a town and municipality in southwestern Greece. Administratively, it belongs to the Elis regional unit, in the region of West Greece. Zacharo is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Kyparissia, a part of the Ionian Sea. The mountain Lapithas is to the north, and the Minthi is to the east. Northwest of the town, between mount Lapithas and the sea, is the Kaiafas Lake. Zacharo is 18 km south of Olympia, 28 km southeast of Pyrgos, 65 km northwest of Kalamata and 65 km west of Tripoli. The town is crossed by the Greek National Road 9/E55, that links Patras with Kalamata.

Our taverna is located in the garden off the hotel europa. Depending on the weather taverna the "Garden" is open from May to Oktober. Openig time, every day from 19:00 pm to 23:00 pm we serve greek and mediterranean food such as,grilled meats , stews,vegitarian dishes and pasta.

We were staying at the hotel and decided to have dinner here. Before dinner we had a demonstration on how to make the cheese pie with phillo dough...which was great. For dinner we had the cheese pie, braschetta, zucchini with potatoes, feta cheese, salad, meatballs, grilled pork chops, grilled chicken, lemon potatoes, a light coconut cake with grapes and the house red wine. This sounds like a lot of food but I only had a taste of everything and everything was extremely fresh and delicious. The outdoor setting is fantastic and this added to the whole experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was brought here by friends from Kyparissia after we toured Apollo Epicurius. This is one of their favorite restaurants in this area of Greece, and for good reason.
The mushrooms with balsamic sauce, the red peppers, the salads were beautiful. After all that, the mussels with rice and the spaghetti with crab were stunning.
The staff were competent, friendly and helpful

We ate the appetizer spicy cheese which was very good! For the main course I had pasta bolognese which was good except the sauce was very meaty, and my girlfriend had grilled chicken with fries which was not bad. They offered us a dessert from the house which was vanilla ice cream with strawberrycouli. It was very refreshing. The only negative aspect of our dinner was the cats that were constantly begging for food. A good dinner for a reasonable price.

Nice place, fresh air, very friendly people. Every time we travel through Peloponnese we stop there. Almost all the dishes are good and not too expensive. One of the best restaurants we have been to during our holidays in Greece.

We didn't have such a great experience. Server was distracted, forgot two things we ordered, and looked away several times when we tried to make eye contact to get things fixed. Other tables of what appeared to be local clients got in and out in about half the time we did. To be expected right down the street from a huge tourist destination, I guess

We visited this restaurant during our stay in Peloponissos. For those that dont know, Peloponissos is very famous for the quality of its meat and cheese. Well at this place none of the meze tasted nice. The service was very slow. I would give less than 2/5 but the playground for kids at the backyard deserves at least one star.

Highlights as follows; Olive oil and spices bread- great Lamb shoulder- greater Freshly caught fish hand selected from the fridge on the spot- doors officially blown off. This place is so good that I️ don’t know how I️ will ever eat normal people fish again.

Good food and service at a reasonable price with some interesting variations on the greek themes. The octopus and grilled sardines were pretty good as was the chicken burger, seasonal salad and the meatballs too! Chips went down a treat as did the organic white wine which arrived in half kilo tumblers!
