Pub and restaurant with twelve boutique rooms located on the A322 just 3 miles from J3 of the M3 in the Guildford direction. It is open from 7 am for breakfast, midday for lunch and 6pm for dinner. The bar is open 11am to 11pm daily. The twelve beautiful rooms were opened in 2015 and are fantastic value starting at £125 for the standard rooms to £150 per night for the larger rooms. The pub and restaurant has been completely refurbished by Gerry and Ann Price who have owned the property for seventeen years. The food is all fresh, modern British and the sauces are homemade and very good. Game is from Windsor Great Park, fish mainly from Cornwall. There are always two and often three beers on handpump and the wine list if fantastic. Breakfast is served from from 7 am, lunch from 12 midday and dinner from 6pm.
As a child-free couple, it can get quite tiresome visiting bars and restaurants with lazy parents failing to tell off their poorly behaved, ill-disciplined children.
In this context, you will understand why the 'No babbies, toddlers are buggies, older children welcome when dining with adults' notice was one of the most welcoming signs we've witnessed when visiting a bar or restaurant for food or drink.
We were visiting The Inn at West End just for some drinks and snacks and ordered the crispy squid with harissa aioli as well as the glazed sausages.
There was table service in the bar, even just for snacks which added a special feel. We took a look at the menu which looked great as did the food we saw being served. A Sunday roast is £20 per person which is pricey, but if that's the price to keep the families out, we'd happily pay it.
Undoubtedly recommend and will definitely return! We need more places like this.

Nearly 5 stars. My friend thought the house special pasta was a little bland But my Pizza was exceptional ( best restaurant around for this), the mixed bread starter was very good, the house wine sound and the coffee good. Tip top service, reasonable prices and a fine ambience..but being tucked away down the old High Street not good for passing trade(our gain?)

We were formerly known as Drake's, but our name changed in January 2017. Everything else remains the same. Our food is flavour focused, with an emphasis on clarity and simplicity, using produce that is both local and regional. Quality of ingredients and their provenance is paramount to our head chef Fred Clapperton and we seek the best we can from within the UK. Awarded a Michelin star in the 2018 guide and 3AA Rosettes.
We booked online on the morning of our visit after our other plans fell through. When we arrived our coats were promptly taken in the hallway and we were offered to have a drink in the bar which we accepted.
Once we’d had some delicious hors d’oeuvres we took our drinks through to be seated in the restaurant.
We sought advice from the restaurant manager when choosing wine and he was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We ordered from the lunch menu. I cannot fault the service, our bread and drinks were regularly replenished and there was just the right amount of time between courses.
The food was delicious, amuse bouche followed by starter then main, then cheese. Then we received some complimentary petits fours as we were celebrating a special birthday which was a lovely touch.
Overall I only have one regret and that is that we hadn’t been here sooner.

We downright adore this cosy cottage restaurant in the Surrey village of Ripley, which was originally built in the 16th century. After surviving former lives as a dwelling and an antique shop selling Toby jugs, the Toby Cottage Restaurant was converted to a restaurant in 1979 and has been pleasing local gourmands ever since. The penultimate romantic restaurant, Toby Cottage is perfect for celebrations and family occasions and has original oak beams, a cocktail bar perfect for sneaky aperitifs, and a sensational wine list to compliment its English/Continental menu. Don't miss the smoked duck breast with mango chutney; the deep fried Brie with cranberry sauce; and the classic beef Wellington with mushrooms, pate and Burgundy sauce.
My wife and I really enjoyed our meal out here it is just so different to the usual modern day dining experience. The waiters are amazing - so attentive, professional and they actually have personalities. We ordered calamari, scallops, beef wellingtons and crepes Suzette. All great. Crepe Suzette was done with tremendous skill and attention and tasted amazing! Finished meal off with a proper HOT cappuccino not a lukewarm one found in most high street coffee chains. You eat at your own pace, no rush like modern restaurants. Will be back to try the lamb or veal Holstein.

Made the mistake of attending on a Sunday with friends and family for Sunday dinner for a birthday treat. Packed when we arrived and didn't change throughout our stay. Firstly can i say the staff worked very hard with smiles on their faces and couldn't have been more helpful throughout. I enjoyed my meal having a lamb shank which i ate every bit, but several people not just on our table did send food back. The specials which went up on the board as we arrived lasted a very short time meaning they either didn't have that many or they were very special. I initially ordered the pork belly which had ran out by the time i ordered.I did enjoy our visit and the number of customers showed it is very popular but I wouldn't rush back for a relaxing sunday dinner.

In the heart of Woking, Latino restaurant offers Italian cuisine using authentic recipes and cooking methods. The innovative menu showcases Italian classics such as traditional pizzas with colourful toppings, or delicious pasta dishes with tantalising sauces. The carefully selected wine list is heavily influenced by regional Italian bottles, but also features an array of specialist global wines.
We selected Latino (based on TripAdvisor) for our pre-pantomime dinner.
At 5:30 on a Saturday evening the restaurant was, not surprisingly, almost empty (there were only two other tables in use when we arrived). We were attended to straight away and the food we ordered came quickly too - excellent!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our mains (2 x lasanga, 1 x calves liver, 1 x seafood), but although the choice of Deserts was good, the waiter told us that only 3 were home made. My tiramisu was delicious, but the raspberry creme brulee did not go down well and was left half eaten by my partner.
Overall a very good experience, but I've not given it 5 stars due to the desserts.

We recently visited for Sunday Lunch. The menu had a very good choice including a carvery. We all chose from the main menu & we were not disappointed. The food, atmosphere & efficient service were all excellent & we didn't have to wait long for...MoreThank you so much for your high praise and for recommending us! Delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your meals - you must try our delicious carvery next time you visit on a Sunday lunchtime :0)

I have been already a few times and it’s a great experience. The staff is always there if u need and they do a great job. They’re very welcoming, always explain the food and they would do anything to make u feel comfortable. The place is nice decorated and the atmosphere very pleasant. The place is suitable if u wanna have a romantic dinner or even a bday party. If u let them know in advance, they will organise the tables for u. The prices are quite good considering that u get a lot of quality food, always fresh. Me and my fiancé enjoyed every time

Charming 16th Century award winning pub/restaurant, situated on the High Street, in the centre of Ripley.
We really enjoyed our experience here - scotch egg was beautifully presented. Duck ravioli was subtly smokey. Roast pheasant was succulent and pork belly delightfully sticky. Cheese board was a pleasure to share. Our waitress was very friendly and made the experience memorable.

We've moved into new premise on Chertsey Road Authentic Korean Cuisine !
We visited Bulgogi almost two years ago. This time round, rather than having Korean in New Malden, we thought to visit this Woking restaurant again.
We ordered seafood pancake (Pa Jon), glass noodles (chapje), stone pot rice (bibimbap) and spicy tofu (chige). Being regular Korean food patrons, we found the food to be above average (one could say good).
However, when compared to the various restaurants in New Malden (Surrey's "Korean town") - we felt that it is still not up there with the best of its peers there, both in terms of quality and quantity of its dishes. Portions were meager (e.g. for the seafood pancake, we would say, about 30% less; glass noodles were 30-50% less for the same price in New Malden!).
Overall, reasonable food but portions could definitely be larger.
