Dramatically situated on the waterfront pier at Canada Place, this AAA Four Diamond award winning fine dining restaurant offers a breathtaking natural backdrop of the inner harbor, Stanley Park and Coastal Mountains with gracious hospitality in an understated elegant setting. Proprietors Chef Ernst Dorfler and Gerry Sayers, a husband and wife team, bring years of experience to Five Sails skillfully fusing modern, continental cuisine with European influences to cultivate a memorable dining experience. Showcasing the mastery that made Chef Dorfler an internationally acclaimed Culinary Olympic World Champion, his signature mountain raviolis stuffed with fine herbs, spinach and ricotta then finished with a drizzle of hazelnut butter harken back to his Austrian childhood. The innovative "Catch!", a veritable cornucopia of seafood is enrobed in a lemongrass sauce perfumed with coconut milk and hint of chili, displays world-class passion and artistry. Sommelier, Ramon Fresneda, always brings impressive knowledge and unpretentious flair in providing optimal wine pairings from a list consistently honoured with the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence. The gracious service and exemplary dining combined with sweeping views of ships sailing off into the setting sun is an experience like none other.
The restaurant is located in the Canada Place / Pan Pacific Hotel complex and has wonderful views of the Bay. The food was equally very good. I had the veal sweetbreads, which were good but I believe were cut into too small of pieces so that you could not feel their succulence. The Dover sole was very good but my only comment was that its accompaniments detracted slightly from the fish's simple taste. Other than these quibbles, the food was very good. Prices are steep.

First time to Cactus Club. Past impression is more a drink place with nice cocktails and chain restaurant food quality.
Looking for a lunch place on stop to sightseeing in West Vancouver. Surprised by the nice, mid- to up-scale setting. Excellent outdoor Seating. Service was prompt and friendly.
Food is surprisingly good with some twist on the usual, so we don't feel it's exactly the same menu like many other places. We have the Baja Taco Trio that I'd recommend. We assumed the tuna club would be ground tuna, but it turned out to be a tuna filet or strips. The sauce was a bit too sour for one of us who deemed it marginally inedible. Another of us felt ok, so this depends on your sensitivity to tartness. Pesto chicken quesadilla was a quite a treat, though I'd like its temperature higher on arriving the table.
The strawberry froze with rosé (frose) is interesting, not quite fruity enough but a great relief for a warm day.
The setting is a somewhat posh shopping village and the whole experience is a simply very pleasant.

The window-wrapped dining room offers unparalleled views of Vancouver, Stanley Park and the surrounding Burrard Inlet . The Salmon House is world renowned for its fresh seafood and comprehensive BC wine list ; accentuated by breath-taking views, warm comfortable surroundings and native art decor.
It's been decades that we've frequented the Salmon House. Back in the late 1970's one could see Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and the American San Juan Islands to the West, the outer harbor, the Lion's Gate Bridge, the inner harbor, the Iron Workers' Bridge, and even Mount Baker. Of course Vancouver, Stanley Park and the University Endowment Lands also. Now the view is all but gone obstructed by the trees. The Dine Out menu offered crab cake, salmon and chocolate cheese cake. Traffic over the Lions Gate Bridge was hectic.

The term “edible art” is an appropriate way of describing Zen’s menu. Inspired by traditional Japanese cuisine, the inventive menu is heavily influenced by the abundance of wonderful West Coast seafood and produce. The premium is on quality, with the best offerings from Japan being served daily. Sushi and Sashimi creations are staples, but Zen has something special for any and all diners including a selection of highly innovative tempura, teppanyaki, and delicious robata (Japanese barbecue) highlighted by chicken yakitori, garlic short ribs, and simply grilled fresh fish. Zen’s knowledgeable staff will assist you in choosing the perfect beverage to accompany your meal from an unparalleled inventory of premium sake and specialized beer and wine lists. My wife and I decided to enjoy our Saturday night date night at one of our favourite local restaurants...The Beach House. The room was packed with high energy diners in a warmly lit room amidst the hustle and bustle of staff taking care of their guests. We were promptly seated and began reviewing the menu when our server dropped by to introduce himself and ask if we needed anything before affording us some time to choose our meals. His name was Jack and spoke with an English accent sharing with us he’d only been in Vancouver since August and absolutely loved it. Jack it seems is pursuing an acting career and so we challenged him to put on an American accent to which he performed it meticulously! Jack pleasant demeanour, charming personality and sincere interest in ensuring your dining experience exceeds your expectations ESS not only refreshing but indeed added to our enjoyment over dinner. He was engaging yet professional so as to not step out of bounds and though we corralled his attention whenever he was by, we noted how he managed to share his energy, enthusiasm and charm with all the tables he was serving. The food was amazing as always yet the service stood out as exemplary and note worthy. I suspect Jack is in for some great future success in the acting world as no doubt he has the stuff of what stars are made of! That said, you might want to rush over to the Beach House soon for their fine food, great ambiance and perhaps so that one day while watching an acting awards show you can say “that guy served us while dining years ago...”
Good luck Jack!

Carmelo's has been the mainstay of Italian dining in West Vancouver for over twenty years. As fresh today as it was at the beginning. Carmelo's offers a cozy dining experience for all ages and tastes. Featuring a wood fired pizza oven to give you arguably the best pizza in Vancouver, pastas to make your mouth water and entrees ranging from fresh local seafood, lamb rack and numerous veal dishes. The fresh sheet is just that, fresh. The menu is not overly "fussy". Carmelo's is the comfort food place that the locals drop in for a bite to eat without hurting the budget.
The dining room was buzzing with patrons filing in as we arrived. We were promptly seated and the server was excellent at understanding our needs, explaining the daily specials and helping with wine selection. We shared an inexpensive appetizer, bruschetta, and it was delicious. My cannelloni was great. We all had creme brulé for dessert, and because of the thick brulé, I rank it among the best I have had. Great experience.

Overlooking the waters of Horseshoe Bay, Olive & Anchor offers casual, great value dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner served in a relaxed atmosphere by friendly and professional staff. Our menu is all about simple, home-made, un-fussy and delicious food using only fresh produce.
We ate here in December, 2017, during the noon hour. We had actually planned to eat at the restaurant next door but was told there was a 20 minute wait. We opted to find some place else. So glad we did! Wow!
If you are looking for a great place to eat with beautiful scenery out the window, this is it! Don't pass this up!
We had fish and chips which is always a safe bet. This was, without a doubt, the best fish and chips we have had. They have plenty of beer, lots of menu choices and excellent service.
This is definitely a must stop if you are in the area.

I have eaten here many times and it is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. I came in the other day and as always I loved it. I love the atmosphere, it is intimate and beautifully decorated. The food is always excellent and I mean everything on the menu. And the service is excellent. This is one spot that I just keep coming back to.
Thank you

Troll's Restaurant was established in 1946 by Joe and Dorothy Troll and remains in the Troll's family today. We are conveniently located by the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal with a waterfront view that will leave you wanting more, so stop on by next time you are in our neighborhood. World famous fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches and classic clam chowder are always available, and for you early risers we start serving breakfast at 6AM so be sure to come and fill up before you continue on your journey!
Popped in for a meal before our ferry to the Sunshine coast. I ordered the chicken burger but asked for it as a wrap (I stupidly thought that was a thing). It didn't seem to bother the waitress though, and the given that it was a 'special order' the wrap was absolutely delicious. The kitchen staff didn't skimp on the quality despite the change. My boyfriend got the oyster burger and the salad and was very happy with the portion size. Our Caesars were top notch, and I look forward to going there again next time we catch the ferry.

We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly to sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish, creating a new and exciting culinary experience. Miku owner Seigo Nakamura innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish. The light sear from the binchotan (Japanese bamboo charcoal) caramelizes the sauce, releasing a smoky aroma and bringing out the finest flavours in each piece of Aburi sushi. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Fly Over Canada, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus.
This place was really modern style sushi and not bad at all. The sushis were fresh and beautifully presented. Great location and the Asian staffs were attentive and super friendly. Had some nice sake as well. A bit pricey but overall worth it! Better to make Reservations since it seemed busy all the time.
